HTC Introduces VIVE Eagle AI Smart Glasses in Singapore with Singtel Partnership

HTC Corporation has officially launched its first AI-powered smart eyewear, VIVE Eagle, in Singapore through a partnership with Singtel. The new smart glasses bring hands-free AI capabilities to everyday life, combining voice interaction, image capture, and open-ear audio in a lightweight wearable design. VIVE Eagle will be available from March 7 at selected Singtel retail stores and through the Singtel online store.

Designed with a sleek and minimalist aesthetic, VIVE Eagle integrates an AI assistant directly into the glasses, allowing users to search for information, plan schedules, translate text, and capture moments without using their hands. At launch, the device supports voice interactions in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese (Beta), alongside features such as continuous AI conversations, intelligent photo capture, music playback, memory recall, and image translation, helping users stay productive whether at home or on the move.

Open AI Architecture for Flexible AI Experiences
VIVE Eagle is built on an open, large language model (LLM) architecture that supports leading AI platforms, including Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT (Beta). This flexible approach allows users to choose the AI experience that best suits their needs, from travel-friendly translation and productivity tasks to everyday searches and planning. HTC plans to expand the ecosystem through future software updates.

The partnership between HTC and Singtel also combines the device’s on-device AI intelligence with Singtel’s high-speed connectivity infrastructure, enabling more reliable AI services and an integrated purchasing experience through telco offers. The collaboration signals a growing push toward AI wearables in Singapore.

Natural Voice Interaction and Intelligent Memory
VIVE Eagle features a Follow-up Mode that keeps the AI assistant listening briefly after responding, allowing users to continue conversations without repeating the wake word. Through the VIVE Connect app, users can also store personal notes using an AI memory feature and retrieve them later through voice prompts, such as asking where they parked their car or recalling saved reminders.

An upcoming software update will introduce AI Notes, a feature that converts spoken input into structured notes and instant summaries. This will help users capture meeting highlights, reminders, and ideas while on the move.

Voice-Controlled Photography and Visual Translation
The glasses include a built-in 12MP ultra-wide camera that enables voice-activated photography from a first-person perspective. Users can simply say commands such as “Hey VIVE, take a photo” to capture moments instantly. The camera also supports image translation for menus, signage, and printed text, covering more than 70 languages depending on the selected AI model.

Privacy and Security Built In
HTC designed VIVE Eagle with strong privacy protections. The VIVE AI system is certified under ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 standards, while local storage is protected using AES-256 military-grade encryption. Data is safeguarded through encryption and de-identification methods, and HTC states that user data is not sold or used to train AI models.

To ensure transparency, the glasses display an LED indicator whenever the camera is in use and automatically disable recording when the glasses are not being worn.

Premium Design with Everyday Comfort
Weighing under 49 grams, VIVE Eagle features an ergonomic frame with adjustable nose pads for all-day wear. The glasses incorporate ZEISS UV400 lenses for clear optics and UV protection, with an option for ZEISS AdaptiveSun lenses that adjust to lighting conditions.

The open-ear audio system delivers immersive sound while allowing users to stay aware of their surroundings, ideal for commuting or outdoor activities. Directional microphones and noise-filtering technology help maintain clear voice communication even in noisy environments.

Battery Life and Charging
Powered by a 235mAh battery, VIVE Eagle provides up to 36 hours of standby time and approximately 4.5 hours of continuous music playback. A magnetic fast-charging system can recharge the battery to 50% in just 10 minutes, making it easy to stay powered throughout the day.

Availability and Pricing in Singapore
VIVE Eagle will be available in Singapore from March 7 through selected Singtel retail outlets and online.

Pricing starts at SGD 730 for the ZEISS Sunlenses version, available in Berry, Coffee, Grey, and Black. The ZEISS AdaptiveSun Lenses model is priced at SGD 880 and comes in Black.

Each purchase includes ZEISS lenses, a 24-month complimentary VIVE AI Plus subscription, a premium VIVE Eagle case, and a magnetic charging cable.
