Lomography Launches the Lomo MC-A: A Metal-Bodied 35 mm Film Camera for the Modern Creator

Lomography has announced the release of the Lomo MC-A 35 mm Film Camera, a beautifully built, metal-bodied analogue camera that blends intuitive control with creative freedom. Available in Black Metal and Silver Metal finishes from October 22 on the Lomography Online Shop, the camera retails for SGD 699 / USD 549.

A Camera for the Curious and the Creative
Described as a “companion for the curious, the chaotic, the human photographer,” the Lomo MC-A celebrates the raw, imperfect, and deeply personal side of photography. It’s a reminder that “everybody is equal before the lens — and behind it,” inviting users to live in the moment rather than curate it.

Compact yet robust, the MC-A houses a premium 32 mm f/2.8 multi-coated glass lens, designed to produce crisp, full-frame 35 mm images rich in texture and character. Whether capturing daily life, artistic experiments, or spontaneous adventures, the MC-A delivers unmistakable analogue charm.

Three Modes, Infinite Possibilities
Photographers can choose between Automatic, Aperture Priority, or Full Manual modes — making the camera equally suited for newcomers and seasoned film enthusiasts.

In Auto mode, users can shoot instinctively, trusting the camera to balance exposure perfectly. For those who crave control, Aperture Priority and Manual modes unlock full customisation of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and focus settings.

The MC-A even supports multiple exposures and long exposures, letting users experiment freely with light and motion.

A PC-Sync flash socket and built-in flash further expand creative options for night scenes or studio setups.

Unapologetically Analogue
Built for 35 mm film, the Lomo MC-A rejects digital perfection in favour of organic unpredictability. Its reflective bright-frame viewfinder, optical precision, and manual film advance create a tactile, deliberate photography experience.

Lomography calls it an “invitation to live in the world, not just look at it.” Every shot becomes a discovery, a memory imprinted in film grain and light leaks — impossible to replicate with pixels.
