HONOR Launches the HONOR X9d with Triple-Certified Toughness and Industry-Leading Battery Life

Global AI device ecosystem company HONOR has officially launched the highly anticipated HONOR X9d, setting a new benchmark for mid-range smartphones. As one of the first devices to receive the prestigious SGS Triple Resistant Premium Performance Certification, the HONOR X9d combines all-around durability with a massive 8300mAh battery, advanced camera capabilities, and flagship-level display technology.

The X9d’s 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery is among the largest on the market today, promising an impressive three days of uninterrupted use on a single charge. HONOR’s anti-ageing battery algorithm ensures more than 80% capacity retention even after six years, while its 66W SuperCharge support allows for rapid top-ups. In addition, the phone doubles as a portable power bank with 7.5W reverse charging, and its performance holds strong even in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 55°C.

Durability is another standout feature. Reinforced with HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology and ultra-deep tempered glass, the device is designed to withstand drops from heights of up to 2.5 meters and survive impacts from stones or even air-gun pellets. Its IP69K water resistance allows it to endure high-pressure water jets, dirty water, and even 30 minutes submerged at 1.5 meters. HONOR has also enhanced usability with AI Heavy Rain Touch and AI Glove Touch, ensuring seamless operation in challenging environments.

Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the 108MP Ultra-Sensing Camera with a large 1/1.67” sensor, OIS + EIS stabilisation, and a suite of AI-powered tools including AI Eraser, AI Cutout, and AI Outpainting. These features allow users to remove reflections, upscale images, and create 4K moving collages directly from their smartphones, streamlining editing for both casual and creative users.

The HONOR X9d also delivers an immersive viewing experience with its 6.79-inch Eye-Comfort OLED Display, offering 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR peak brightness of 6000 nits. The ultra-narrow 1.3mm bezels provide a 94.6% screen-to-body ratio, while eye-comfort features such as Circadian Night Display and hardware-level low blue light ensure visual safety during prolonged use.

Powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset with GPU and CPU performance boosts of 29% and 11% respectively, the X9d offers smooth performance enhanced by HONOR RAM Turbo Technology, which delivers the equivalent of 24GB RAM. With storage options of up to 512GB, users can store years of photos, videos, and apps without compromise.

The launch of the HONOR X9d marks a significant step in redefining the mid-range smartphone experience. Preorders will be available on 25 Sep 2025.
