Zenith Chronomaster Original Returns With Bold Blue Dial

Zenith has introduced a striking new take on one of its most iconic chronographs, unveiling the Chronomaster Original with a blue dial. For the first time, the maison’s emblematic tricolour subdials are set against a deep blue sunray-patterned background, offering a fresh yet timeless reinterpretation of the legendary A386 El Primero from 1969.

A Heritage Reimagined
Few watches have shaped modern chronograph design like the Zenith A386. The new Chronomaster Original preserves the 38 mm stainless steel case of the original — complete with a bezel-less silhouette, pump pushers, faceted lugs, and brushed-polished surfaces — while introducing a bold contemporary dial.

The Chronomaster Original with blue dial comes with both a blue calfskin leather strap with tone-on-tone stitching and a 3-link stainless steel bracelet, each fitted with a folding clasp. Water resistance is rated at 5 ATM, ensuring practical wearability for everyday use.

The overlapping grey, dark grey, and blue registers remain faithful to the A386’s design language, while the blue-toned dial adds modern elegance. Applied baton markers and rhodium-plated, Super-LumiNova®-coated hands ensure clarity and legibility.

Powered by the El Primero 3600
At its heart beats the El Primero 3600 automatic chronograph movement, the 21st-century evolution of the calibre that changed watchmaking.

Beating at 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations per hour), it measures and displays 1/10th of a second with unrivalled precision.

The chronograph’s central hand makes a full rotation every 10 seconds, offering a vivid display of the calibre’s high-frequency performance.

Other features include:

● 60-hour power reserve

● Stop-seconds mechanism

● Column wheel chronograph architecture

● Star-shaped oscillating weight, visible through the sapphire case back.

Availability and Pricing
The new Chronomaster Original is now available at Zenith boutiques, authorised retailers, and online. It is priced at SGD 14,800.
