ZENITH continues its legacy of horological excellence with the unveiling of the CHRONOMASTER Original Triple Calendar in a bold new material combination: 18-carat rose gold paired with a striking black dial. Following the success of the steel edition reintroduced in 2024, this luxurious interpretation brings a sophisticated contrast that enhances both visual appeal and functionality.
At once modern and historically rooted, the timepiece is a direct descendant of the A386 model from 1969—one of the earliest watches to house the groundbreaking El Primero automatic chronograph movement.
Now refined with contemporary technology and precious materials, this version is a testament to ZENITH’s pursuit of timeless craftsmanship and innovative design.
A Perfect Fusion of Form and Function
The CHRONOMASTER Original Triple Calendar revives one of ZENITH’s most emblematic El Primero complications. Encased in a 38mm 18-ct rose gold case, the watch maintains the iconic CHRONOMASTER profile with a raised box sapphire crystal, tapered lugs, and pump-style pushers.
The black dial, enhanced with rose gold-coloured chronograph counters and SuperLuminova-coated hands and markers, offers superb legibility and balance across its complex display.
Its complete calendar includes day and month apertures at 11 and 2 o’clock, a date window at 4:30, and a moon phase display subtly integrated within the 60-minute chronograph counter at 6 o’clock, ensuring that technical mastery never compromises design harmony.
Powered by the High-Frequency El Primero 3610 Calibre
Inside beats the El Primero 3610, a 5Hz automatic movement renowned for its 1/10th of a second precision. Unique to ZENITH, the central chronograph hand completes a full dial rotation every 10 seconds, enabling users to track time with unmatched accuracy.
Despite the addition of the full calendar complication, the movement delivers a 60-hour power reserve and showcases its mechanical prowess through a transparent sapphire case back, revealing a blue column wheel and a star-shaped open rotor.
Luxurious Details, Practical Appeal
The watch comes fitted with a black calfskin leather strap secured by an 18-carat rose gold folding clasp, complementing the rich tones of the case. Designed for daily wear as much as it is for collectors, the timepiece also offers 5 ATM water resistance, enhancing its versatility.
It retails at SGD 38,000.
