Samsung Electronics has introduced its latest Galaxy A Series lineup: the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G. This launch marks a significant upgrade for the A Series, integrating AI-driven features for enhanced creativity, durability, and security, ensuring a smooth and long-lasting user experience.
“The new Galaxy A Series represents our commitment to making AI accessible to all, bringing powerful mobile AI experiences to more users worldwide,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business at Samsung Electronics. “With these exciting new features, we’re opening doors for greater creativity while delivering a secure and reliable mobile experience.”
AI-Powered Features for Smarter Search and Creativity
For the first time, Samsung’s Galaxy A Series includes Awesome Intelligence, bringing advanced AI tools powered by One UI 7. A major highlight is Google’s upgraded Circle to Search, which now recognizes phone numbers, emails, and URLs directly from the screen, enabling instant actions. Users can also search for songs playing around them without switching apps – simply long-press the navigation bar and tap the music button.
The camera experience gets a major boost with a 50MP main sensor on all models, along with a 10-bit HDR front camera recording on the A56 5G and A36 5G. The A56 5G features a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while all three models include intelligent editing tools like Object Eraser for removing unwanted distractions and Filters for custom colour and style effects.
Exclusive to the A56 5G, Best Face ensures the perfect group shot by selecting the best expressions for up to five people. Additionally, enhanced Nightography with Low Noise Mode improves low-light selfies and wide-camera shots.
Enhanced Display, Performance, and Longevity
Samsung ensures long-term value with six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, alongside six years of security updates. The A56 5G and A36 5G boast a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 1200 nits of brightness and stereo speakers for an immersive viewing and audio experience.
Battery life is impressive, with a 5,000mAh battery offering up to 29 hours of video playback. Both the A56 5G and A36 5G support 45W fast charging and Super Fast Charge 2.0. Performance-wise, the A56 5G is powered by the Exynos 1580 chipset, while the A36 5G runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform. A larger vapour chamber helps maintain performance during gaming and multitasking.
For durability, all three devices feature an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, with a Corning Glass cover for added protection against scratches and cracks.
Advanced Security and Exclusive Features
The Galaxy A Series integrates Samsung Knox Vault for enhanced security, along with new One UI 7 privacy features like Theft Detection Mode.
The A56 5G and A36 5G also introduce Digital Key, allowing users in select regions to store car keys on their devices.
