A Modern Tribute to a Timeless Classic
The Speedmaster Pilot takes flight with a 40.85 mm stainless steel case, featuring a matte finish to eliminate light reflections—an essential element for pilots in high-intensity conditions. The bezel, adorned with a matte aluminium ring, proudly showcases the iconic “Dot Over Ninety” and “Diagonal to Seventy” marks on the tachymeter scale, tying it firmly to its Speedmaster heritage.
The centrepiece of the watch is its bold, grained matte-black dial, designed for ultimate readability. Large blocks of white Super-LumiNova (green emission) coat the hour/minute hands and hour markers, ensuring full visibility during night flights. A striking matte-black chronograph hand with an orange aeroplane tip enhances its aviation-inspired aesthetic, while the twin subdials steal the spotlight.
At 3H, a unique 60-minute and 12-hour recorder with a triangular matte-orange hand mimics the “burn rate” indicators found in aircraft cockpits. Meanwhile, the Small Seconds display at 9H features a target-inspired design with a matte-yellow hand and an artificial horizon motif in blue, further underscoring the watch’s cockpit influence.
