Review: LG TV C3 & SoundBar SC9S

Upgraded Home Entertainment

The LG TV C3 and SoundBar SC9S are a great combination for those looking for the ultimate home theatre setup

I was thrilled to have the opportunity to test out the LG TV C3 and LG SoundBar SC9S for a technology magazine review. After using these products in real-life scenarios, I have to say, I’m quite impressed.

The LG TV C3, a 4K OLED TV, is a sight to behold. The picture quality is stunning, with deep blacks and vibrant colours that make every scene pop. I tried out a variety of content, from Netflix movies to live sports, and the TV handled it all with ease. The built-in AI technology also upscales lower-quality content to near-4K quality, which is a great feature if you’re watching older movies or TV shows.

When it comes to gaming performance, the LG TV C3 does not disappoint. I connected my PS5 to the TV, and the gameplay was smooth and immersive. The TV has a low input lag and supports both HDMI 2.1 and variable refresh rates, making it perfect for gaming. The TV also has a Game Optimizer mode that automatically adjusts the picture and sound settings for an optimal gaming experience.

When I got on with the LG SoundBar SC9S, it seamlessly pairs with the LG TV C3, creating an immersive home theatre experience. The sound quality is exceptional, with clear vocals and deep bass – especially on Metallica’s ‘Enter the Sandman and Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 – bringing movies and TV shows to life. I especially loved the Dolby Atmos support, which creates a surround sound effect that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the action.

I also tested the soundbar with my phone by seamlessly pairing it via Bluetooth. I played my favourite Spotify playlist, and the sound quality was excellent. The soundbar also has built-in Google Assistant and Alexa support, which makes it easy to control with voice commands.

In a nutshell, I highly recommend the LG TV C3 and LG SoundBar SC9S for anyone looking for a top-of-the-line home theatre setup. The picture and sound quality are both exceptional, and the seamless integration between the TV and soundbar makes it easy to use. Whether you’re watching movies on Netflix or playing the latest games on your console, these products won’t disappoint.
