Everywhere Anywhere with Canon’s Pocketable Content Creation Kit – PowerShot V10

Canon has unveiled the PowerShot V10, a concept camera targeting smartphone natives with its slim design and focus on video capabilities. The camera combines Canon’s imaging technologies with a compact form factor, making it easy to carry and capture high-quality footage on the go.

Edwin Teoh, Head of Marketing at Canon Singapore, highlighted PowerShot V10’s innovative approach to meeting the evolving needs of consumers. With the growing demand for short-form content and improved output, Canon developed the camera to empower users to enhance their content quality. The camera’s integration of Canon’s superior imaging technologies with a pocket-sized design reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting various content creators.

Despite its small size, the PowerShot V10 packs a punch in video content creation. It features an integrated retractable and tiltable stand, eliminating the need for external support objects and providing greater control over shooting angles. Additionally, a built-in large-diameter three-element microphone ensures clear and high-quality audio, ideal for creating videos with the popular ASMR effect. The camera becomes an essential 3-in-1 content creation kit for activities such as travel vlogging, cinematography experiments, and on-location live streams.

The PowerShot V10 leverages Canon’s EOS imaging technology to deliver stunning footage with vivid colours and reduced noise, even in low-light environments. This ensures impressive visual quality that captivates the audience.

Regardless of skill level, users can easily create their desired results with the PowerShot V10. The camera offers various shooting modes, including auto and manual exposure, along with 14 colour filters. The tilt-type monitor allows for comfortable viewing and adjustment of high- and low-angle shots. Autofocus features, such as Face Tracking AF and Specified Frame AF, simplify the focusing process for both beginners and more experienced users. The new Movie Auto ND filter automatically adjusts the built-in 3-stop ND filter based on ambient brightness, ensuring seamless transitions between different lighting conditions.

Livestreaming capabilities are made effortless with the PowerShot V10, supporting real-time delivery to platforms like Facebook and YouTube via the Camera Connect app. Users can also utilize the camera as a webcam through a plug-and-play USB-C connection.

The PowerShot V10 will be available at Canon authorized dealers starting from June 15, 2023, with a recommended retail price of $609. This camera aims to cater to the needs of smartphone natives who seek a compact and versatile device to capture high-quality videos effortlessly.
