LG Smart TV owners all around the world can now access MasterClass, the streaming platform that offers classes from the world’s best across a wide range of topics, directly on their big screens at home. The MasterClass app is available for download on LG’s Content Store on LG Smart TVs running webOS 4.0 (2018 TVs) and up to the newly launched 2023 TVs and can be easily accessed by voice command or through Life’s Good Hub.
With more than 180 instructors and classes available, MasterClass subscribers can explore various categories such as Arts & Entertainment, Business, Design & Style, Sports & Gaming, and Writing. From Roy Choi’s kitchen to leadership lessons from former CEO of PepsiCo Indra Nooyi, MasterClass offers something for everyone.
Viewers can learn at their own pace, with each class featuring approximately 20 video lessons, averaging around 10 minutes per lesson. The cinematic visuals and close-up demonstrations make it feel like the viewer is one-on-one with the instructor. Sessions by MasterClass also offer a structured curriculum where members can learn hands-on skills through step-by-step guidance from world-class instructors and an active community of peers.
LG’s introduction of MasterClass to its Smart TVs is a demonstration of its commitment to offering versatile home entertainment experiences that cater to consumers’ unique preferences, needs, and interests. The company plans to launch new educational services later this year.
