Canon M50 Mark II is the Camera for Beginner Travel Vloggers

DJ Farah Farz took Canon M50 Mark II with her on a work trip to Australia. She shares her thoughts on this camera with NXT.

Now with more countries opening up their borders to tourists, people are ready and eager to pack their bags and go for their long-awaited holiday. As an international DJ, model, and content creator, this means that I get to travel for my shows again! Just a couple of weeks ago, I was booked to DJ in Australia.

So this Canon M50 Mark II came in timely and was exactly what I needed. It is light, portable, and fits perfectly in my handbag without taking up too much space. The camera comes with a kit or starter lens, EF-M-15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM.

I love that it is beginner-friendly and easy to use as I am able to choose from different modes to shoot with. It is touchscreen and I can shoot from any angle, which is perfect for when I take selfies or vlog my travels. Focusing is also made easier with its dual pixel autofocus. So for someone who does not know how to manually set a camera, this works out great! There is also built-in lighting that comes in handy when I shoot in low-light conditions.

All in all, if you are someone like me who has minimal to no experience with DSLR cameras and is looking for an entry-level camera, the Canon M50 Mark II is a great one to start with. You can easily record in stunning 4K resolution and capture beautiful photos. Canon’s unique colour science renders skin tones in pleasing natural colours better than your regular smartphone. There is also a Smooth Skin effect from the settings that you can use for a more radiant look!
