Razer’s Impact of the Global Community

Apart from driving technology leadership in the gaming space, Razer has also been a pioneer in esports.

Razer successfully helped to lobby for the inclusion of esports as a medal sport for the first time in history at the Southeast-Asian Games 2019 (Dec 2019). Razer is also supporting national esports associations and organizations in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand in their selection and training with the region’s first professional esports bootcamp in early Sep 2019.

As a corporate citizen, Razer has been constantly driving initiatives to give back to society. It is currently working on an initiative to develop products for disabled gamers.

The company is a strong supporter of student internship talent and development initiatives. Its zVentures investment arm works with start-ups that have a strategic alignment with Razer’s global gaming strategy.

Razer’s current research and development (R&D) efforts will be accelerated in its new SE Asia office opening in 2020 in Singapore. The new building will include an incubator space for start-ups, to encourage the creation and generation of new ideas and technologies.
