Creating More Memories While Creating Less Waste
Instant cameras have always been popular for a few reasons. They’re easy and intuitive to use, convenient, and most of all they document a memory in a tangible form almost instantly. However, while the uncertainty of the outcome of your next shot can be exciting for some, it does create a lot of film wastage in the long run. You can then very clearly imagine my excitement when I realised that the Instax LiPlay allows me to be as shutter-happy as I like, edit the photos as I please and even choose which to print!
Before I head off to the US for a good half a year on my university exchange programme, my friends and I decided to take a short trip to Penang, Malaysia to spend time and bond with each other. Before departing, I realised that while we often take digital photographs and selfies, we do not actually scroll through these often. I therefore decided that the Instax LiPlay would be the best camera to take along for the trip as it prints out our memories instantly in a form that is easily storable in accessible places such as our wallets and behind our smartphone covers. This way, we will be able to look back on our precious trip and friendship much more often!
The Fujifilm Instax LiPlay is compact, super lightweight and rechargeable (no loose batteries!), which makes travelling with it a total breeze.
Customise and Create As You Like
I really enjoyed using LiPlay’s nifty photo-editing tools, which allows me to toggle between different filters to suit the focus of my shot, be it the delicious food in front of me or my wonderful friends. I was also able to select fun frames to add on to my photograph, such as foliage leaves or even Light FX for a truly retro look.
With Bluetooth, you can even print directly from your smartphone, or use your smartphone as a shutter button to take hassle-free group photos!
Photos… But With Sound?
If you ever wished that your photos came with recorded audio, FujiFilm has boldly delivered. Just by pressing a single button placed conveniently at the face of the camera, the Instax LiPlay records audio for a few seconds when you’re in the process of taking the shot and converts it to a QR code which is printed on your shot. Innovation at its finest!
As a fan of the Instax, I find these new features exciting, fresh and certainly useful. It retains the nostalgic flavour of classic shots – just with a touch more fun.
