Marantz has introduced the MCR 60n DAB, a new compact all-in-one hi-fi system designed for listeners who want the flexibility of a modern music system without assembling a rack full of separate components.
Launching in September 2026, the MCR 60n DAB brings together amplification, high-resolution music streaming, a CD player, DAB/DAB+ radio and turntable connectivity in a single compact unit. HDMI eARC also allows it to serve as the audio hub for a television, giving the system a role beyond traditional music listening.
65W Per Channel in a Compact Design
At its core, the MCR 60n DAB delivers 65W per channel, with its sound tuned by the Marantz Sound Master. The system uses four channels of amplification and supports both Bi-Amp and Parallel BTL configurations, providing additional flexibility when pairing it with different speaker setups.
Dual speaker outputs are provided, together with a configurable subwoofer output for users who want to add more low-frequency impact. Marantz is also offering optional Dirac Live Room Correction, allowing the system’s output to be calibrated to compensate for the acoustic characteristics of a listening room.
That combination makes the MCR 60n DAB more configurable than its compact dimensions might initially suggest, while retaining the simplicity expected of an all-in-one system.
From Vinyl and CDs to High-Resolution Streaming
Marantz has given the MCR 60n DAB a particularly broad range of music sources. A precision front-loading CD player caters to physical collections, while an MM phono input means a compatible turntable can be connected without requiring a separate phono preamplifier.
There’s also a built-in DAB/DAB+ tuner for digital radio, while high-resolution digital audio is supported at up to 384kHz/32-bit.
For streaming, the system incorporates the HEOS platform alongside AirPlay 2 and support for services including Spotify, TIDAL and Qobuz. It is also Roon Ready, giving users another option for managing and playing digital music libraries.
Bluetooth works in both directions. In addition to receiving music wirelessly from a smartphone or other source, the system can transmit audio to compatible Bluetooth headphones or speakers.
HDMI eARC Makes It a TV Audio System Too
The inclusion of HDMI eARC with HDMI-CEC broadens the MCR 60n DAB’s appeal beyond a conventional stereo system. Users can connect a compatible television and route its audio through the Marantz and their stereo speakers.
HDMI-CEC integration also helps simplify everyday operation between connected devices, making the MCR 60n DAB a potential alternative for listeners who want better TV sound but would rather use a pair of hi-fi speakers than a conventional soundbar.
The result is a system designed to bridge several generations of home audio. A single MCR 60n DAB setup can accommodate vinyl records, CDs and digital radio alongside today’s high-resolution streaming services and television audio.
Two Finishes Available
Marantz is offering the MCR 60n DAB in Matte Black and Champagne Gold, with the understated design intended to fit easily into living rooms and smaller listening spaces.
