GIGABYTE has officially expanded its premium graphics card lineup with the launch of the new AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY 16G and AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD 16G. Inspired by the company’s 40th anniversary, the latest additions to the AORUS INFINITY series combine flagship NVIDIA RTX 5080 performance with bold industrial design, advanced thermal engineering and a cleaner approach to PC building.
Building on the design language introduced with the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY, the new graphics cards feature a striking aerospace turbine-inspired appearance that immediately stands out inside any gaming rig. Integrated RGB lighting embedded into both the inner and outer rings of the turbine design creates a continuous circular glow, giving the cards a futuristic identity while highlighting their premium positioning.

Among the two models, the AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY WOOD takes a unique approach by incorporating wood-grain elements into its design. Rather than following the aggressive styling commonly associated with gaming hardware, the WOOD edition blends natural textures with high-performance components to create a warmer, more refined aesthetic. GIGABYTE says the design reflects a closer relationship between technology and everyday living, allowing powerful PC hardware to integrate more naturally into modern home and workspace environments.

Performance remains a key focus, with both graphics cards featuring GIGABYTE’s latest WINDFORCE Hyperburst cooling system. At its core is a new Double Flow Through architecture that enables both fans to push cool air directly through the heatsink, creating a more efficient airflow path. Together with dual backplate cut-outs, the design improves airflow penetration by up to 58% compared to traditional backplate designs and 28% over single-cutout solutions, helping to reduce heat build-up during demanding workloads.

The cooling system also introduces a concealed Overdrive fan that remains hidden within the graphics card, preserving the clean dual-fan appearance. The auxiliary fan automatically activates whenever higher GPU loads are detected, delivering additional airflow only when needed to maintain stable operating temperatures during extended gaming sessions or intensive creative workloads.

Supporting the advanced cooling solution are several thermal innovations, including GIGABYTE’s patented Hawk fans, which increase air pressure by up to 53.6% and airflow volume by 12.5% while keeping noise levels low. Heat is rapidly transferred through a large vapour chamber that makes direct contact with the GPU, alongside composite copper heat pipes and high-performance composite metal thermal grease. Server-grade thermally conductive gel is also used on memory modules and power components to ensure consistent long-term cooling performance.

The AORUS INFINITY series has also been designed with clean PC builds in mind. Fully supporting GIGABYTE’s Project Stealth ecosystem, the graphics cards feature concealed power connectors that hide cables within the card itself, significantly reducing visible cable clutter. A magnetic backplate cover further conceals connections and creates a cleaner, more seamless appearance that complements minimalist PC builds.
GIGABYTE says the AORUS INFINITY series is aimed at gamers and PC enthusiasts who want flagship graphics performance without compromising on aesthetics. Alongside the newly launched RTX 5080 models, the company has confirmed that the AORUS GeForce RTX 5070 Ti INFINITY 16G and RTX 5070 INFINITY 12G will join the lineup this July, giving gamers additional options across different performance tiers.
