Bowers & Wilkins Unveils 800 Series Diamond D5, the Most Advanced Loudspeaker Range in Its 60-Year History

Celebrating its 60th anniversary, British audio specialist Bowers & Wilkins has unveiled the all-new 800 Series Diamond D5, the latest generation of its flagship loudspeaker lineup and the most advanced speaker range the company has ever produced.

Officially revealed at HIGH END Vienna on 4 June 2026, the new 800 Series Diamond D5 represents the culmination of six decades of acoustic research, engineering innovation and meticulous craftsmanship. As the fifth generation of the acclaimed 800 Series to feature Bowers & Wilkins’ renowned Diamond Dome tweeter technology, the D5 range introduces a host of new acoustic, mechanical and electrical advancements designed to elevate performance to unprecedented levels.

For audiophiles, music creators and recording professionals alike, the new range embodies the company’s long-standing commitment to founder John Bowers’ “True Sound” philosophy: reproducing music exactly as it was intended to be heard, with uncompromising accuracy and realism.

Six Decades of Pursuing Perfect Sound
The 800 Series has long been regarded as one of the most influential loudspeaker families in high-end audio. Trusted by leading recording studios and mastering engineers around the world, the range has earned a reputation for delivering extraordinary transparency and sonic precision.

With the introduction of the D5 generation, Bowers & Wilkins aims to push those qualities even further.

According to the company, the new speakers are the result of decades of relentless experimentation, refinement and technological development. Every aspect of the design has been revisited, from the cabinet structure and crossover components to driver technologies and overall acoustic performance.

The result is a loudspeaker range engineered to reveal every nuance of a recording, allowing listeners to experience music with exceptional clarity, scale and emotional impact.

Seven Models for Music and Home Cinema
The new 800 Series Diamond D5 family comprises seven models, offering solutions for both dedicated stereo listening rooms and premium home cinema installations.

New Technologies and Refined Engineering
While Bowers & Wilkins has yet to reveal every technical detail, the company confirms that the D5 range incorporates extensive acoustic, mechanical and electrical enhancements throughout the lineup.

These upgrades are designed to improve transparency, reduce distortion and deliver an even more lifelike listening experience than previous generations. Combined with the company’s latest advancements in driver and cabinet design, the D5 range aims to set a new benchmark for premium loudspeaker performance.

As with previous generations, science remains at the heart of the design philosophy. Every engineering decision has been made with one goal in mind: faithfully reproducing the original recording with the highest possible accuracy.

The result is a speaker range equally suited to discerning music lovers seeking the ultimate home listening experience and professional audio engineers who require an uncompromising reference for critical listening.

Luxury Design Meets Modern Living
Beyond performance, the new 800 Series Diamond D5 also introduces a refined aesthetic designed to complement modern luxury interiors.

The speakers will be available in four premium finishes: Stealth Black, Warm White, Light Walnut and Dark Walnut. Each finish has been carefully selected to highlight the sculptural design of the cabinets while offering greater flexibility for a variety of living spaces.

The combination of elegant craftsmanship and advanced engineering continues the tradition that has made the 800 Series one of the most recognisable loudspeaker designs in the world.
