ASUS has introduced the new TUF Gaming Platinum power supply lineup, bringing high-end efficiency and durability features to more accessible midrange builds. Available in 850W, 1000W, and 1200W variants, the series delivers stable, efficient, and long-lasting power for modern gaming PCs and creator workstations while maintaining the rugged reliability the TUF brand is known for.
Key Highlights
● Next-gen GaN efficiency: Advanced Gallium Nitride (GaN) MOSFETs improve power efficiency by up to 30%, reduce heat output, and enable a more compact internal layout for better airflow and cooling.
● Battle-ready durability: Built with military-grade components, protective PCB coating, and high-quality Japanese capacitors for long-term stability in demanding environments, backed by an 8-year warranty.
● Platinum-level performance: 80 Plus Platinum certification ensures highly efficient power delivery with reduced energy waste and lower operating temperatures.
● Future-proof compatibility: Fully compliant with ATX 3.1 standards and includes a 16-pin PCIe® cable capable of delivering up to 600W for PCIe 5.1 graphics cards.
● Bringing GaN Efficiency to the TUF Lineup
ASUS is extending Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology, previously seen in its premium PSU ranges, into the TUF Gaming series. Compared to traditional silicon-based MOSFETs, GaN transistors switch faster and conduct electricity more efficiently, significantly reducing energy lost as heat.

This efficiency boost can translate into up to 30% better power efficiency, meaning more usable power reaches system components instead of being wasted. The compact nature of GaN components also allows ASUS to redesign internal layouts to improve airflow paths and accommodate larger heatsinks, helping the PSU run cooler and more consistently under load.
Cooler, Quieter Operation
The TUF Gaming Platinum series is engineered with acoustic performance in mind, maintaining noise levels below 30dB even under heavy workloads. This allows users to run demanding games or creative applications without distracting fan noise.

ASUS also equips the PSUs with dual-ball fan bearings, which can last up to twice as long as standard sleeve-bearing designs. This not only improves long-term reliability but also ensures consistent acoustic performance over the PSU’s lifespan, preventing noise degradation over time.
Engineered for Extreme Durability
Staying true to the TUF philosophy, these power supplies are built with durability at their core. High-grade Japanese capacitors ensure stable power delivery even under high temperatures and sustained loads, making them suitable for overclocked systems and high-performance GPUs.

A protective PCB coating adds resistance against dust, humidity, and temperature extremes, increasing reliability in challenging environments. Combined with Platinum-level efficiency, the design reduces unnecessary heat generation, improving both longevity and operational stability.
Each unit is also backed by an 8-year warranty, reinforcing ASUS’s confidence in long-term durability.
Built for Next-Generation PCs
The TUF Gaming Platinum PSUs fully support modern hardware standards, including ATX 3.1 compliance and PCIe 5.1 graphics cards. Each unit comes bundled with a 16-pin PCIe® connector cable capable of delivering up to 600W of power, ensuring stable performance for the latest high-end GPUs.

To further improve system-building experience, the PSUs feature fully modular etched cables made from tin-plated oxygen-free copper. These cables are designed for flexibility, low resistance, and improved thermal efficiency, while also supporting cleaner cable management and better airflow within the chassis.
Availability
The ASUS TUF Gaming Platinum PSU series will be available in Singapore starting in June, with nationwide retail availability. Pricing details will be shared through local ASUS partners and authorised retailers.
