Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy A56 5G, A36 5G, and A26 5G, the latest additions to its Galaxy A Series lineup. For the first time, these mid-range phones bring Galaxy’s signature AI-powered features under the banner of Awesome Intelligence. These tools not only enhance creativity but also improve user experience through intelligent search, robust editing, and seamless security, all wrapped in a durable, long-lasting design.
TM Roh, President of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience business, highlighted the move as a big step toward democratizing mobile AI: “The new Galaxy A Series represents our commitment to ‘AI for all’ by unlocking creative tools and delivering a secure, fun, and reliable mobile experience for everyone.”
Creative AI Meets Everyday Use
Awesome Intelligence on the A56, A36, and A26 5G includes features like Circle to Search, now enhanced to recognize phone numbers, emails, URLs, and even identify music playing nearby, all from a long press and a simple tap. The phones are powered by One UI 7 and offer intuitive tools like Object Eraser for photo cleanup and Filters that let users create unique image styles.
Camera-wise, each phone boasts a 50MP main sensor, with the A56 and A36 featuring 10-bit HDR for high-quality selfies.
The A56 ups the ante with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, Best Face mode for the perfect group shot, and improved low-light performance with Nightography features.
Stronger, Smarter, and Built to Last
Samsung has made longevity a priority with six years of security updates and OS support. The A56 and A36 pack a 6.7″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display with up to 1200 nits of brightness and stereo speakers for an immersive media experience.
Backed by a 5,000 mAh battery, users can expect up to 29 hours of video playback, with support for 45W Super Fast Charge 2.0.
Under the hood, the A56 runs on an Exynos 1580, while the A36 is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, both with upgraded cooling systems for smooth performance.
Durability also gets a boost: all three phones now feature IP67 water and dust resistance, a first for the A26 5G. Corning® Glass protection adds resilience against everyday bumps and drops.
Next-Level Privacy and Smart Features
Security is also stepped up with Samsung Knox Vault and the latest One UI 7 privacy enhancements, including Theft Detection and more refined control settings. Select regions will also get access to Digital Key support on the A56 and A36 for smart, secure access to digital locks.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy A26 5G is now available for $408 in three colours, Peach Pink, Black, and Mint, via Samsung Experience Stores, the Samsung Shop App, the Samsung Online Store, Samsung TikTok Shop, and major consumer electronics retailers.
As a launch promotion from April 11 to May 9, 2025, buyers will also receive a complimentary 25W Power Adapter (worth $38).
The Galaxy A56 5G and A36 5G will also be available in various vibrant colourways, with local pricing and availability expected to follow soon.
