Sony’s 2025 BRAVIA Line-Up: Bigger, Smarter, More Immersive

Sony has officially revealed its 2025 BRAVIA TV line-up, aiming to deliver the ultimate cinematic experience at home.

Following last year’s rebranding that unified Sony’s home cinema gear under the BRAVIA name, this new line-up introduces three models: BRAVIA 8 II, BRAVIA 5, and BRAVIA 2 II.

Powered by the advanced XR Processor and AI scene recognition, these TVs come in sizes ranging from 43” to an enormous 98”, ensuring something for every type of viewer. Also joining the mix is the BRAVIA Theatre home cinema system, complete with a soundbar and optional speakers—bringing an all-in-one entertainment ecosystem to your living room.

A Cinematic Experience, Straight from the Studio
With decades of experience creating professional film gear—from cinema cameras to studio monitors—Sony knows what filmmakers want their audiences to see and hear.

This insight shapes the BRAVIA line’s ability to replicate the creative vision behind every movie or show. The 2025 models connect creators and viewers, delivering cinema-quality visuals and audio as the director intended, all in the comfort of your home.

BRAVIA 8 II: Stunning OLED Design Meets Intelligent Processing
The BRAVIA 8 II is the star of the show, featuring a minimalist Slim One Slate design that merges the screen and bezel into a single, elegant panel. At its heart is a QD-OLED display powered by Sony’s XR Processor and XR Triluminos Max™, offering breathtaking clarity, natural colours, and deep blacks.

AI scene recognition adjusts settings on the fly for lifelike realism, while XR Contrast Booster and precise light control bring out every detail. Sound is equally impressive thanks to Acoustic Surface Audio+™, which transforms the screen into a speaker—making the sound feel like it’s coming directly from the action.

BRAVIA 5: Mini LED Brilliance for Every Living Room
The BRAVIA 5 offers high-end features in a more affordable Mini LED package. Its XR Backlight Master Drive and XR Contrast Booster enable precise local dimming, capturing fine gradations of light and shadow.

Available in massive 98” down to 55”, it’s ideal for immersive movie nights with stunning visuals and powerful sound, supported by Acoustic Multi-Audio technology.

BRAVIA 2 II: Entry-Level Simplicity with 4K Magic
The BRAVIA 2 II is perfect for anyone looking to step into the BRAVIA ecosystem without breaking the bank. It uses Sony’s 4K Processor X1 to upscale HD content and bring older favourites to life in glorious 4K.

Combined with support for Dolby Atmos® and DTS: X®, it ensures an audio-visual experience that punches above its class. Google TV integration makes it easy to navigate endless content and customize your viewing setup.

Studio-Calibrated Accuracy with IMAX and Dolby Magic
All BRAVIA TVs include Studio Calibrated Modes that fine-tune picture quality to match how creators envisioned their content. Whether it’s Netflix, Prime Video, or SONY PICTURES CORE, each service has its tailored mode. BRAVIA TVs and BRAVIA Theatre products are also IMAX Enhanced certified, supporting immersive DTS: X® audio and IMAX visuals on Disney+ and other select platforms.

Dolby Vision® and Dolby Atmos® are supported across the board, offering brighter highlights, deeper contrast, and immersive audio for your favourite streaming content.

Home Theatre That Syncs Seamlessly
Pair your BRAVIA TV with a BRAVIA Theatre sound system for a unified experience. Use the BRAVIA Connect app on your smartphone to control volume, adjust settings, or even troubleshoot—all without touching a remote.

You can also manage sound features directly from your TV’s quick settings menu. It’s designed to be intuitive, streamlined, and distraction-free, letting you focus on what matters: great content.

Built for Eco-Conscious and Accessible Living
Sony continues to push for a greener future with BRAVIA. The BRAVIA 5, for example, features energy-optimizing tech that adjusts brightness scene-by-scene, reducing power use without sacrificing quality.

The new Eco Dashboard 2 allows users to easily monitor and adjust energy settings. Additionally, recycled materials such as SORPLAS™, plastic, steel, and aluminium are used across key components. Accessibility features include a Talkback screen reader, tactile port markings, and voice commands—making the TVs easier to use for everyone in the household.
