Nothing has officially introduced its latest mid-range smartphones, the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro, combining striking design, AI-powered features, and flagship-grade camera technology in an accessible package. Building on the success of the Phone (2a), the new Phone (3a) Series raises the bar for mid-range smartphones with an upgraded camera system featuring optical zoom, enhanced performance, and a fresh take on Nothing OS, including a new AI-powered productivity tool called Essential Space.
Elevated Design with Purpose
The Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro showcase a more refined design language, featuring upgraded glass backs, symmetrical internal layouts, and enhanced durability with an IP64 rating.
Each camera module is highlighted through Nothing’s signature transparent aesthetic, showcasing the brand’s blend of form and function. Remarkably, the Phone (3a) Series also represents Nothing’s lowest carbon footprint to date, coming in at just 51.3kg of CO2e per device.
Flagship-Level Cameras, Reimagined for All
The new triple-camera systems are Nothing’s most advanced to date.
Both models include a 50MP main sensor and a 120° ultra-wide Sony sensor, but the standout feature is the telephoto camera.
● The Phone (3a) introduces a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom and up to 30x ultra zoom using AI algorithms.
● The Phone (3a) Pro pushes boundaries further with a periscope camera featuring a 70mm focal length, optical 3x zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and an astounding 60x AI-powered ultra zoom—plus a unique telemacro mode for close-up shots as near as 15cm.
The main cameras, co-engineered with Samsung and Sony respectively, are enhanced with AI-based image processing that ensures clarity, reduced noise, and stunning results even in difficult lighting.
For selfies and video calls, the Phone (3a) sports a 32MP front camera, while the Phone (3a) Pro features a 50MP sensor with 4K video capabilities and advanced night mode enhancements.
Snapdragon Power Meets Smarter Performance
Both devices run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 platform, delivering a 33% boost in CPU and 11% better graphics over their predecessor.
Gaming sees major improvements too, thanks to Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and a massive 4,500 mm² vapour chamber that cuts device temperature by 23%.
Nothing OS 3.1, based on Android 15, brings a cleaner, more customisable interface, with monochrome themes, hidden app labels, and advanced lock screen controls. The devices also benefit from RAM Booster, offering up to 20GB of accessible RAM through physical and virtual memory.
Early adopters of the Phone (3a) Series will get access to Essential Space, a new AI-powered hub that captures and organises notes, ideas, and voice memos. Activated by a dedicated Essential Key on the side of the phone, users can quickly record, save, and retrieve content. Upcoming features include Smart Collections, Flip to Record, and Camera Capture.
Bigger, Brighter, and Bolder Displays
With 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED displays and 120Hz adaptive refresh rates, both models are designed for immersive viewing and smooth interaction. In Gaming Mode, touch sampling peaks at 1000Hz, making gameplay ultra-responsive. Peak brightness reaches up to 3000 nits—a 131% improvement over the Phone (2a)—ensuring excellent outdoor readability.
Both devices are powered by a robust 5000mAh battery, capable of lasting up to two days. Thanks to 50W fast charging, you can get to 50% in under 20 minutes—enough for a full day of use.

The Phone (3a) will be available for purchase from 22 March for SGD 549 and the Phone (3a) Pro will be available for open sales via Nothing.tech and all channel partners starting 1 April. Pre-orders begin on 22 March at Nothing.tech and participating partners.
