The Oursin story traces back to Corsica in 1994 when the Genta family was on vacation. The name “Oursin,” meaning “sea urchin” in French, was inspired by the natural world. Gérald Genta, captivated by its spiny, globular shape, instinctively began sketching his first design. The rounded case adorned with beads became a signature element, influencing all its variations.
