The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors will become available later this year to DIY enthusiasts, system integration (SI) partners, and OEM partners like Dell Technologies, HP, and Lenovo. Concurrently, AMD is reintroducing the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series processors to the High-End Desktop (HEDT) environment for the first time since 2020. These processors maintain AMD’s tradition of excellence for creative and professional users. The Ryzen Threadripper 7980X processor offers unparalleled computing power in an enthusiast desktop, delivering outstanding multi-threaded performance for users who demand nothing but the best. Built with the AMD “Zen 4” architecture and offering up to 48 PCIe® 5.0 lanes for desktop users, these processors feature up to 64 cores and 128 threads, setting a new standard for performance and efficiency.

AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO Processors
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors represent an expansion of the previous generation’s unparalleled performance and superior platform features for the workstation market. Built on the cutting-edge 5nm “Zen 4” architecture, this generation outperforms the competition in demanding professional applications and complex multitasking workloads. For multithreaded workloads, these processors provide up to 96 cores and 192 threads, the most cores of any workstation processor, resulting in significantly faster performance in tools like Chaos V-Ray. Additionally, Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors offer up to 384MB of L3 cache and eight channels for DDR5 memory, meeting the needs of applications requiring high memory capacity and bandwidth.

High-end desktop platforms featuring AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series processors will also be available from System Integrators by the end of 2023.
Finally, the new AMD Ryzen Threadripper 7000 Series and select Ryzen Threadripper PRO 7000 WX-Series processors will be available from DIY retailers starting on November 21st.
