NOMOS Glashütte Highlights at the 2021 Watches and Wonders

For the first time in its history, NOMOS Glashütte is presenting the new releases in a fresh format for the 2021 Watches and Wonders.

Metro neomatik 41 Update

Classic model Tangente came first, and now a second renowned NOMOS model is receiving its updated dial. Metro gives its greatest performance to date in this version. Set far out around the minute markers, where it is ideally placed, the Update date display ensures that the entire month is always in view.

Tangente neomatik 41 Update midnight blue

A well-timed update in midnight blue, the classic NOMOS model Tangente has received a new and striking, look—further accentuating the innovative inner values of this watch.

The transformation took three years to come to fruition, because for Tangente, the classic model from NOMOS, conditions for a design adaptation must be perfect. The watch simply knows its worth, and won’t settle for second best. But now it’s ready for something new: Tangente Update in midnight blue. The watch with the completely reimagined date function has received a new look: The classic aesthetic remains, yet it is now a tick sportier, more striking. The movement with the patented date mechanism can be set both forward and backward; the date display, also patented, has been given a fluorescent green addition.

Tangente 38 Doctors Without Borders

Better times for many: 50 years of Doctors Without Borders, during the current pandemic, is the reason for a new worldwide special edition watch from NOMOS Glashütte.

Doctors Without Borders and NOMOS Glashütte have embarked on a new and especially large project: In 2021 there are 2,021 watches in support of emergency aid—that’s 2,021 more watches bearing the red 12. Now for the first time, NOMOS watches for Doctors Without Borders are available for sale worldwide.

For the first time, this version of Tangente is paired with a dark gray textile strap from NOMOS Glashütte. And another first: The small inscription beneath six o’clock on Tangente 38 that reads “50 ans de Médecins Sans Frontières”. The organization was founded in Paris, 1971, as Médecins Sans Frontières. It has since grown into a global network that leads and funds emergency aid projects around the world.
