Lenovo announced the release of its latest addition to the premium ThinkPad X1 laptop portfolio – the ThinkPad X1 Extreme.
The 15-inch PC introduces is the first to include NVIDIA discrete graphics. The ThinkPad X1 is ideal for data intensive workloads such as video and photo editing, graphics rendering, as well as virtual and mixed reality applications.
With an in-built NVIDIA GeForce 1050Ti graphics, Dolby Atmos sound and a stunning 15.6-inch UHD display, you will be able to game at the highest level.
You’ll also get touch-screen capabilities and smarter voice control features with Cortana and Amazon Alexa amidst its strong specifications – an 8th generation Intel CoreTM processors, a six-core Intel CoreTM i9, up to 64GB of memory and dual PCIe SSD storage option with Raid 0/1 capability.
Despite all these great features, the X1 Extreme weighs only 1.7kg – that’s 12 percent lighter than the ThinkPad T580, even though it has four layers of reinforced carbon fiber, which will keep it running smooth by dissipating heat more efficiently.
The kicker will probably be the strong battery, which can last up to 15 hours, along with the Rapid Charge function that will charge the X1 Extreme up to 80 percent in just 60 minute.
The ThinkPad X1 Extreme will be available from November 27, starting at $2,186.10.
