Say Hello To The Latest Line Of LG Robots

It looks like the LG robots family is set to keep expanding this year, as LG unveils three more work robots at CES 2018. These three robots are specifically developed for commercial use at hotels, airports, and supermarkets. Which means it might not be too long before you see them zooming around in your daily life!

Serving, Porting, And Carting Around Your Shopping, These Robots Can Do It All!

LG Serving Robot

The purpose of the Serving Robot is to deliver meals and drinks to guests and customers at hotels and airport lounges quickly and efficiently. It can deliver food and refreshments around the clock, presenting its built-in serving tray to customers for easy removal. Once delivery is confirmed, the Serving Robot makes its way back on its own.

LG Porter robot

As can be guessed from the name, the Porter Robot is designed to deliver luggage to guest rooms. It minimises the inconvenience that may result from slow service and long wait times during a hotel stay. It can also handle express check-in and check-out service, and take care of payment. This means busy guests can check out and have their luggage delivered to a waiting car at the speed of light!

LG Shopping Cart Robot

Last but definitely not least, the Shopping Cart Robot is out to help improve the shopping experience at premium supermarkets. Customers can scan their items using a barcode reader on the robot to view product prices, and see their updated shopping list on the display. It can also guide shoppers to the products they select on a smartphone app.

These robots are all part of LG’s new CLOi (pronounced KLOH-ee) robot brand. They follow in the footsteps of the Airport Guide Robot and the Airport Cleaning Robot. Both these robots recently completed successful trial runs at Korea’s Incheon International Airport.

You can look forward to more information on the new LG robots at CES 2018!
