Samsung presents “Your Companion to AI Living” at The First Look during CES 2026

At The First Look event held during CES 2026, Samsung Electronics unveiled its vision of “Your Companion to AI Living” – a future where AI is not just a feature, but a philosophy that connects devices, services and experiences across everyday life.

Taking place at the Latour Ballroom at Wynn Las Vegas, the showcase set the tone for Samsung’s CES presence, highlighting how AI now underpins the company’s research and development, product design, operations and user experience across mobile, displays and home appliances.

Entertainment companion: a new era of intelligent viewing
Samsung’s visual display leadership took centre stage as the company revealed how AI is reshaping the television experience. Drawing on two decades of innovation, Samsung introduced a full AI TV lineup that transforms the TV from a passive screen into an active entertainment companion.

At the heart of the lineup is the striking 130-inch Micro RGB, which represents a major leap in scale and picture quality. Using micro-sized RGB light sources where each red, green and blue diode operates independently, the display delivers unprecedented colour accuracy and depth. Powered by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, the TV enables precise colour control while its Timeless Frame design keeps the focus firmly on the image itself.

Elevating this experience further is Vision AI Companion (VAC), which works alongside users to enhance not just viewing, but also dining and mood across the home. Through natural voice interaction, VAC can suggest what to watch, recommend music, or even propose meals inspired by on-screen content.

Samsung also introduced AI-powered modes designed around specific use cases. AI Soccer Mode Pro enhances live matches with stadium-level picture and sound tuning, while AI Sound Controller Pro allows viewers to adjust crowd noise, commentary and background audio independently. These features are available across TVs equipped with VAC, including Micro LED, Micro RGB, OLED, Neo QLED, Mini LED and UHD models.

Complementing the visual experience, Samsung expanded its audio ecosystem with two new Wi-Fi speakers, Music Studio 5 and 7, designed by Erwan Bouroullec. Featuring a timeless dot-inspired design, the speakers are built to blend seamlessly into the home while enhancing audio-visual immersion.

Samsung also unveiled its most advanced Odyssey gaming monitor line-up yet, introducing five new models that push the boundaries of resolution, refresh rate, and immersive visual performance. Led by Samsung’s first 6K 3D Odyssey G9, the 2026 line-up debuts world-first display technologies for gamers and creators.

Home companion: smart appliances that guide daily life
Samsung’s AI vision extends deeply into the home. The company revealed how it is evolving from offering smart appliances to creating true home companions that help reduce the stress of everyday chores. With SmartThings now serving more than 430 million users worldwide, Samsung is leveraging vast insights to deliver more proactive assistance.

At the centre of the smart home is the Family Hub refrigerator, now upgraded with AI Vision built with Google Gemini. The enhanced system more accurately recognises food items placed into and taken out of the fridge, simplifying meal planning and food management. A gamified feature, What’s for Today?, suggests recipes based on available ingredients or offers random ideas to reduce decision fatigue. Selected recipes can be sent directly to connected cooking appliances, while Video to Recipe converts cooking videos into step-by-step guides without interrupting playback.

New features such as FoodNote provide weekly summaries of food usage and restocking needs, while Now Brief and Voice ID personalise information for each family member on the Family Hub display.

In the laundry room, the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo eliminates the need to transfer loads between machines, now enhanced with faster cycles and improved drying. The Bespoke AI AirDresser introduces Auto Wrinkle Care, using air and steam to smooth clothing with minimal effort.

Samsung also showcased the Bespoke AI Jet Bot Steam Ultra, which uses advanced sensors to recognise liquids, assist with navigation and even act as a home monitoring device when users are away. A smarter Bixby enables conversational voice commands, reinforcing seamless interaction across the home.

Care companion: from reactive to proactive wellbeing
Closing the event, Samsung outlined its long-term vision for AI-enabled care, shifting from reactive responses to proactive prevention. By connecting phones, wearables, appliances and other devices, Samsung aims to provide personalised health coaching, from exercise and sleep guidance to nutrition recommendations based on ingredients available at home.

With “Your Companion to AI Living,” Samsung’s CES 2026 showcase signals a future where AI works quietly in the background, connecting devices and experiences to make everyday life more intuitive, supportive and meaningful.
