HP has unveiled a bold vision for the future of work at HP Imagine 2026, introducing a new generation of AI-powered devices, software and solutions designed to create a more connected, intelligent workplace.
At the centre of this vision is HP IQ, a new workplace intelligence layer that connects devices, spaces and workflows—helping organisations reduce digital friction and improve productivity through on-device AI and seamless connectivity.
A smarter, more connected workplace
HP IQ is designed to transform everyday devices into intelligent, context-aware tools. By combining local AI processing with proximity-based connectivity, it enables employees to move effortlessly between tasks, devices and work environments.

Features such as Ask IQ, Analyse, Notes & Knowledge, and Meeting Agent allow users to interact with files, summarise information, capture meeting insights and retrieve contextual guidance using natural voice or text inputs.

The platform is accessed through a new interface called Visor, which surfaces relevant actions and insights in real time—minimising the need to switch between applications and helping users stay focused throughout their workday.
Seamless collaboration across devices
A key component of HP IQ is HP NearSense, a spatial intelligence technology that enables nearby devices to automatically discover, connect and collaborate.
This allows users to:
● Instantly share files between PCs with simple drag-and-drop
● Join meetings with a single click
● Cast content to nearby displays or conference room screens
● Print or scan without installing drivers

Over time, NearSense will expand across HP’s ecosystem, including Poly video conferencing systems, printers and peripherals, creating a more fluid and connected work environment.
Built for privacy, security and enterprise control
HP IQ adopts a local-first architecture, powered by a 20-billion-parameter model that processes many AI tasks directly on the device. This approach reduces latency while keeping sensitive data secure and within organisational control.

For enterprise environments, HP IQ integrates with the HP Workforce Experience Platform (WXP), providing IT teams with centralised visibility, governance and management capabilities across device fleets.
Expanding AI innovation across the portfolio
Beyond HP IQ, HP also introduced a broader suite of innovations aimed at reshaping the future of work. These include:
● Next-generation HP Z workstations for advanced AI development and high-performance computing
● New LaserJet printers with AI-powered document processing and quantum-resistant security
● Enhanced security solutions, including HP TPM Guard to protect against physical cyberattacks
● Workforce Experience Platform updates to enable proactive, AI-driven IT operations

HP also expanded its lineup of AI PCs, including new EliteBook devices designed for mobile professionals, offering high-performance AI capabilities, long battery life and enhanced security features.
Driving productivity in an AI-driven era
HP’s latest announcements come amid growing demand for smarter workplace technologies. According to HP insights, employees equipped with the right tools are significantly more productive and have a better overall work experience.

By integrating AI across devices, software and infrastructure, HP aims to create a seamless ecosystem where work flows naturally—whether employees are in the office, at home or on the move.
Availability
HP IQ will roll out in phases, with early access on select HP AI PCs starting in Spring 2026, followed by broader availability across additional devices later in the year
