TAG Heuer has introduced a bold new expression of its connected watch lineup with the Connected Calibre E5 45mm x Formula 1 edition, a timepiece that blends the adrenaline of motorsport with cutting-edge digital innovation.
Designed to coincide with the excitement of the Formula 1 season, the watch transforms the racing experience into something personal and wearable. Built with a Grade 2 titanium case and finished with a black DLC coating, it carries a strong motorsport identity, with red accents, carbon-inspired textures and detailing that echo the world of high-performance racing.
What sets this edition apart is how deeply it integrates Formula 1 into the watch experience. At its core is a dynamic “Race Track” watch face that evolves throughout the season. Each Grand Prix is represented with its own track layout, country flag and race identity, creating a constantly changing interface that reflects all 24 race weekends. A moving indicator traces the circuit in real time, subtly marking the passing seconds and reinforcing the sense of motion.
The connection goes beyond visuals. A dedicated Formula 1 app built into the watch provides access to race calendars, schedules, results and standings, ensuring users stay updated throughout the season without needing to reach for their phone. Smart widgets deliver live updates instantly, while custom notifications and sounds are designed to mimic pit radio communications, bringing an added layer of immersion to everyday use.
Physically, the watch reflects the same attention to detail. The bezel features engravings representing each phase of a race weekend, from practice sessions to qualifying and the main race. Pushers with red lacquer accents and a sculpted crown enhance the racing aesthetic, while two interchangeable straps, one in leather and rubber with red stitching, and another in stretch textile, offer versatility for both daily wear and active use.
Beyond its motorsport focus, the Connected Calibre E5 remains a capable everyday smartwatch. It offers a full suite of wellness and fitness tracking features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking and activity tracking, alongside dual-band GPS for accurate outdoor performance tracking. Powered by a Snapdragon chipset and equipped with an AMOLED display, the watch delivers smooth performance, responsive navigation and a battery life of up to two days under normal use.
