
Samsung Electronics is celebrating a major milestone for Samsung TV Plus in Southeast Asia. Marking its first anniversary in the region, the free ad-supported streaming TV service is expanding its content lineup with 13 new channels, including 10 channels from A+E Global Media and three FAST channels from wedotv.
A year of rapid growth for free streaming
Launched in Southeast Asia in late 2024, Samsung TV Plus delivers free, instant access to live TV channels across entertainment, news, movies and more on Samsung Smart TVs.

One year on, the service has grown from just over 20 channels per country to more than 230 channels region-wide, reflecting a strong shift towards ad-supported streaming.
The platform has also seen a 70 per cent increase in monthly active users and a 125 per cent jump in total viewing hours year-on-year, underscoring its growing appeal among audiences seeking premium content without subscription fees.
Expanding choice with A+E Global Media
Launching in Singapore and the Philippines in early 2026, the 10 new channels from A+E Global Media bring a broad mix of reality, documentary and entertainment programming to Samsung TV Plus.

Viewers can look forward to popular series such aAxeAx Men, Dog the Bounty Hunter and Little Women: LA, alongside competitive and high-energy shows like Bring It and Ice Road Truckers. Those drawn to real-life stories can explore I Survived, while fans of family-centred humour can tune into Duck Dynasty. The lineup is rounded out by titles including Ghost, Evolution Earth and Modern Marvels, offering around-the-clock content that explores history, science, mystery and human ingenuity.
wedotv brings sports, movies and relaxation
Also launching in early 2026 in Singapore, the Philippines and Thailand, wedotv is introducing three new channels tailored for Asia-Pacific audiences.

wedotv sports will feature international sporting events such as horse racing, Asian Tour golf and SailGP, complemented by weekly highlights and documentaries on legendary athletes and teams. wedotv movies targets female audiences with a curated selection of romantic comedies and global films, complete with local-language subtitles. Meanwhile, Time2rlx offers visually stunning environmental scenes paired with calming music and soundscapes, designed for relaxation and ambient viewing.
Strengthening local relevance across Southeast Asia
As Samsung TV Plus celebrates its first year in the region, it has established a strong footprint across 4.4 million Smart TVs, reaching more than 12 million unique viewers in Southeast Asia.
