GIGABYTE expands its AI PC vision at CES 2026 with smarter GiMATE and ultra-thin AI gaming laptops

At CES 2026, GIGABYTE is doubling down on its AI PC ambitions, unveiling a redesigned GiMATE interface alongside a new generation of ultra-thin AI-powered gaming laptops. Together, these announcements signal a clear shift towards more adaptive, user-centric computing that blends intelligent software with high-performance hardware.

A smarter GiMATE for everyday AI computing
At the heart of GIGABYTE’s AI PC strategy is GiMATE, the brand’s proprietary AI agent designed to unify hardware and software control into a single, intuitive hub. The updated GiMATE interface focuses on clearer navigation, real-time system insights and faster decision-making, while introducing enhanced voice-driven controls that make system tuning more accessible.

GiMATE now anchors a broader ecosystem of AI-driven tools. The newly introduced AI Power Gear III enables direct MUX switching between Discrete Mode and MSHybrid through GiMATE, giving users greater flexibility over performance and efficiency. Smart power modes further refine usage: Auto Mode disables the GPU on battery to extend runtime, Optimus Mode balances performance and efficiency, while Eco Mode prioritises extreme power savings across both AC and battery use.

Aorus Master Series come with GiMATE support

For creators, GiMATE Creator expands its generative capabilities with the addition of Qwen-Image, supporting both English and Chinese prompts to make visual AI creation more accessible globally. Meanwhile, GiMATE Coder lowers the barrier to entry for programming by allowing users to generate, correct and optimise code using natural language, benefitting beginners and experienced developers alike.

Ultra-thin laptops, uncompromised performance
Leading the new lineup is the AORUS MASTER 16, GIGABYTE’s flagship AI gaming laptop. Despite measuring just 19 mm thin – 17 per cent slimmer than its predecessor – it packs serious power with an AMD Ryzen™ 9 9955HX3D processor and up to an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5090 Laptop GPU. Built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, the GeForce RTX 50 Series introduces next-generation AI performance, enhanced graphics fidelity, DLSS 4 acceleration and expanded creative tools through NVIDIA Studio.

Thermal performance is handled by the new WINDFORCE Infinity EX cooling system, which combines a vapour chamber with an asymmetric Frost Fan design to sustain high performance in a compact chassis.

For creators and mobile professionals, the GIGABYTE AERO X16 is powered by AMD Ryzen™ AI 400 series processors, delivering higher efficiency, faster responsiveness and stronger on-device AI acceleration for content creation and productivity on the move.

Rounding out the lineup is the GIGABYTE GAMING A18 PRO, which balances a slim 20 mm profile with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 5080 Laptop GPU. Positioned as an accessible entry point into AI-powered gaming and creative workflows, it offers stable, well-tuned performance for gamers, creators and first-time AI PC users.

Showcasing the future at CES 2026
With a unified AI software platform and a refreshed lineup of thin, powerful laptops, GIGABYTE’s CES 2026 announcements reflect a broader vision of AI PCs that adapt to users, rather than the other way around.
