Independent watchmaker De Bethune introduces two distinct yet philosophically aligned novelties that underscore the Maison’s dedication to mechanical innovation, poetic design and artisanal craftsmanship. The DB25 Perpetual Sky, presented in a refined 40 mm case, and the DB Kind of Two Jumping GMT, a reversible watch with dual identities, showcase the brand’s ability to merge technical mastery with expressive watchmaking.
DB25 Perpetual Sky
De Bethune expands its DB25 collection with a perpetual calendar reimagined in a more compact 40 mm format, carefully balancing legibility, comfort and mechanical sophistication. Crafted in grade 5 titanium, the slim case features the collection’s signature hollowed lugs and offers an exceptionally light presence on the wrist.

The dial architecture unfolds across multiple levels, with ring-shaped appliqués and a silver-toned minutes track framing the indications. The date appears at 6 o’clock, the day at 9 o’clock and the month at 3 o’clock, while time is displayed using polished, curved yellow gold hands. At 12 o’clock, De Bethune’s emblematic spherical moon — crafted from palladium and blued steel — delivers lunar phase accuracy with a deviation of just one day every 122 years. A discreet gold disc beneath it indicates the leap-year cycle.

Visually, the dial is a hand-crafted celestial tableau. De Bethune’s signature starry sky and Milky Way are created through thermal oxidation, micro-perforations set with white gold pins, and hand-applied 24-carat gold leaf, resulting in a depth and luminosity that feels almost cosmic.

Powering the watch is the hand-wound DB2500 QP calibre, incorporating hallmark De Bethune innovations such as a titanium–white gold balance wheel, De Bethune balance spring, silicon escape wheel and triple pare-chute shock system. With over 330 hand-finished components, each piece is produced in strictly limited annual quantities at the manufacturer in L’Auberson.
DB Kind of Two Jumping GMT
The DB Kind of Two Jumping GMT explores the concept of duality through a reversible construction that presents two distinct faces, each with its own aesthetic language and time display. A sophisticated internal mechanism ensures that the hands always rotate clockwise, regardless of which side of the watch is worn.

On the contemporary front dial, time is displayed around a central balance wheel, surrounded by layered finishes including microlight, shot-peened and snailed decorations. Jumping seconds and home time indications are integrated into a sculptural layout, with titanium architectural elements adding symmetry and depth.

Flipping the watch reveals a more classical personality. The reverse side features a domed anthracite dial with a guilloché centre, gold hands and a polished titanium indicator for the jumping seconds. The second time zone is adjusted via the crown’s second position, allowing intuitive functionality beneath the traditional aesthetic.

Housed in a 43 mm polished grade 5 titanium case with De Bethune’s articulated floating lugs, the watch is engineered for comfort and seamless reversibility. Its case construction comprises 42 components designed to withstand daily wear, temperature variations and moisture.

A statement of mechanical creativity and conceptual balance, the DB Kind of Two Jumping GMT reflects De Bethune’s pursuit of uniting tradition, innovation and modern expression within a single timepiece.
