Lenovo has introduced the all-new ThinkStation PGX, a compact personal AI developer workstation designed to join its growing portfolio of hardware and software solutions optimised for AI development. Built for AI researchers, developers, data scientists, students, and engineers, the ThinkStation PGX delivers a plug-and-play desktop experience with serious computational muscle.
Powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, the ThinkStation PGX offers up to 1 PetaFlop (1,000 TOPS¹) of AI performance, enabling developers to handle generative AI models with up to 200 billion parameters. It’s 128 GB of coherent unified system memory² that supports experimentation, fine-tuning, and inferencing with the latest reasoning models. For larger workloads, two ThinkStation PGX units can be linked together to support models reaching 405 billion parameters.

Out of the box, the workstation comes preloaded with the NVIDIA DGX OS and the NVIDIA AI software stack, including popular tools such as PyTorch and Jupyter. This allows developers to immediately prototype, fine-tune, and run large AI models, then seamlessly deploy them to a data centre or cloud environments.
“By collaborating with NVIDIA to deliver a high-performance yet compact device, Lenovo is empowering AI developers, researchers, data scientists, and students to accelerate their workloads and drive breakthrough innovation in generative AI,” said Rob Herman, Vice President, Worldwide Workstation and Client AI Business at Lenovo.
As generative AI models grow in scale and complexity, local development has become increasingly demanding. Large models typically require significant GPU memory and processing power, making efficient prototyping and tuning difficult on conventional systems.

ThinkStation PGX provides a powerful and cost-effective platform for model development, helping free up valuable GPU resources in on-prem clusters or cloud environments better suited for large-scale training and production deployment. Thanks to the NVIDIA AI platform architecture, developers can easily transition their work from the desktop to any accelerated cloud or data centre infrastructure with minimal code changes.

Lenovo continues to lead in AI-ready performance across its workstation lineup, from ThinkStation desktops to mobile ThinkPad P Series systems. Through its Hybrid AI Advantage with NVIDIA, the company delivers full-stack, validated AI solutions that propel the development of agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and acting effectively. These scalable solutions help enterprises adopt AI across edge, on-prem, and cloud environments to boost productivity and spark innovation.
