In our Test section, we daily drove the 17 Air case-less to probe that ultra-thin build, eSIM setup, all-day battery, and creator-friendly Dual Capture. Besides it, the iPhone 17 served as our control: same 48MP Fusion camera pipeline, ProMotion display, and baseline battery/runtime checks to spotlight. Rounding it out, we play Silent Hill from front to back, evaluating the tighter combat cadence, Japanese setting, smarter puzzles, and more.
Lastly, in NXT Big Thing, we fast-forward to 2045, where “consoles” become portals and silicon is rented by the hour. A pocket hub syncs, saves and GPU time across edge nodes. Rooms mix ambient projection with vanishing OLEDs; rollable lightfields unfurl at desks. Hall-sensor controllers and analogue keyboards evolve input. AI improvises worlds; “playprints” carry identity; verified latency lanes police fairness.
