ZENITH and Revolution reunite for a third chapter in their celebrated collaboration with the release of the CHRONOMASTER Revival A3818 “Cover Girl” Carbon. This latest reissue of the iconic 1971 El Primero reference pushes boundaries again, with a full carbon composite case and dial that blend vintage charm with cutting-edge engineering.
Following the 2020 steel edition and the titanium version in 2022, the Cover Girl returns in 2025 with a futuristic twist, becoming lighter, bolder, and more exclusive than ever.
A New Era of Lightness
At just 60 grams, the new A3818 “Cover Girl” Carbon is significantly lighter than its predecessors (steel at 110.6g, titanium at 78.3g), offering a featherlight wearing experience without sacrificing robustness.
The timepiece’s tonneau-shaped 37mm case and iconic “shark tooth” dial, both made from carbon composite, give it a sleek, high-tech finish. Bold black-and-white subdials, luminous markers, and dual tachymeter-pulsometer scales deliver clarity and character.
Inside beats the legendary El Primero 400 movement—an automatic column-wheel chronograph beating at 5 Hz for 1/10th of a second precision, with a 50-hour power reserve.
Three Editions, Three Statements
ZENITH and Revolution unveil three distinct editions, each offering its design statement:
● Edition 1: 150 pieces with baton hour markers and two interchangeable straps (Velcro “carbon effect” and embossed calfskin).
● Edition 2: 50 pieces with Hindu-Arabic numerals, celebrating the launch of Revolution Arabia.
● Edition 3: The most exclusive, with only 10 pieces featuring the world’s first carbon “Gay Frères” ladder bracelet, a tribute to the original bracelet from the 1970s.
Nicknamed “Cover Girl” after appearing on the cover of Manfred Rössler’s definitive ZENITH book, the A3818 remains one of the most coveted El Primero references among collectors. This carbon reissue is a bold evolution of a legend, bringing together ZENITH’s mechanical prowess and Revolution’s daring spirit.
“This is the ultimate Cover Girl – a perfect fusion of vintage 1970s charm and cutting-edge design,” said Romain Marietta, ZENITH’s Chief Product Officer.
“We wanted this to be more than a reissue. It’s a true collector’s piece that brings both innovation and value,” added Wei Koh, founder of Revolution.
