Hublot Marks 20 Iconic Years of the Big Bang

Time may be relative, but in just 20 years, the Hublot Big Bang has changed the world of watchmaking forever. First launched in 2005, the Big Bang defied tradition with its fusion of bold design, boundary-pushing materials, and unapologetic attitude.

Two decades later, Hublot celebrates this milestone with a series of showstopping releases that reaffirm its title as the modern master of innovation. From daring materials like sapphire and Texalium to haute horlogerie complications, Hublot’s 20th anniversary tribute is a vibrant journey across time, colour, and creativity.

Big Bang 20th Anniversary Capsule: Where Legacy Meets the Future
To honour the original, Hublot has created five commemorative Big Bang models that fuse elements from the very first Big Bangs with the contemporary edge of the Big Bang Unico. Expect the unmistakable silhouette, knurled bezels, engraved carbon-fibre-inspired dials, and the iconic riveted numerals—now enhanced with Super-LumiNova.

Inside beats the Unico automatic chronograph movement, visible through open dials and a specially engraved 20th anniversary rotor. Each model features the modern One Click strap-change system and a structured rubber strap that recalls the treaded texture of early Big Bangs. These five pieces are a celebration of fusion, representing the Big Bang’s past, present, and potential-filled future.

The “Master of Sapphire” Set: Five Shining Icons
No one explores sapphire like Hublot. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary “Master of Sapphire” set showcases five dazzling versions of the Big Bang MECA-10, each cased in a different hue of transparent sapphire or SAXEM: clear, Water Blue, Deep Blue, Purple, and Neon Yellow.

Limited to just five sets, these watches are matched with transparent straps, with vivid colour accents that underscore Hublot’s dominance in sapphire innovation. The manually-wound MECA-10 movement—visible in all its industrial beauty—offers a 10-day power reserve via a rare linear rack system. Each set comes in a bespoke display case with backlit vertical lights and a sliding frosted glass panel. It’s not just a set of watches—it’s a celebration of engineering, colour, and transparency.

Materials & High Complications: A One-of-a-Kind Tribute
Hublot also created a unique set titled “Materials & High Complications”, spotlighting the brand’s technical achievements in both material mastery and complex movements.

This one-of-one box set features a Tourbillon Automatic Sapphire with skeletonised 22K white gold rotor, a Tourbillon Chronograph in Water Blue Sapphire flaunting Hublot’s latest in coloured crystalline, a striking Tourbillon Automatic in Red Ceramic, a Tourbillon Chronograph Cathedral Minute Repeater in black frosted carbon fibre, and a deep blue Texalium Tourbillon Minute Repeater with an integrated bracelet—the first time Texalium has been used this extensively. These five unique masterpieces embody Hublot’s relentless push for innovation in horology.

Ceramic in Colour: Petrol Blue & Mint Green Light Up the Collection
Hublot takes colour seriously—and it shows in the new Big Bang One Click 33mm and Big Bang Unico 42mm models in Petrol Blue and Mint Green ceramic.

Mint Green brings calming spring vibes, while Petrol Blue delivers a confident, refined punch. This release also marks the first-ever Big Bang One Click 33mm in ceramic, complete with the brand’s signature One Click strap mechanism for seamless style swaps.

The Joyful Five: A Chromatic Celebration of Gemstones
Bringing sparkle to the core collection, Hublot introduces the Big Bang One Click Joyful 33mm, in five gemstone-studded models with matching rubber straps: Red Spinels, Orange Sapphires, Pink Sapphires, Blue Topaz, and Tsavorites.

Each model features a white glossy dial, self-winding HUB1120 movement, and comes with a second strap in a deeper tone. These compact, radiant timepieces are designed for women who want their watch to reflect both elegance and joy.

Big Bang Unico Water Blue Sapphire: A Dive into Crystal Clarity
Rounding off the 20th anniversary celebration is a 50-piece limited edition of the Big Bang Unico in the newest sapphire hue: Water Blue.

Inspired by tropical waters, the 44mm case and translucent rubber strap evoke clarity and serenity. Powered by Hublot’s iconic Unico movement—a 72-hour power reserve chronograph built with 354 components—this piece exemplifies sapphire innovation at its finest.

A Word from the CEO
