FIIO has officially released its latest flagship in-ear monitor, the FX17, in Singapore, unveiling a stunning combination of cutting-edge driver technology and premium craftsmanship. The FX17 made its local debut at CanJam Singapore 2025, showcased at AV One’s Booth.
At the heart of the FX17’s design is a meticulously engineered 1DD+4BA+8EST configuration per side, featuring one dynamic driver, four balanced armature drivers, and a remarkable eight electrostatic drivers. This five-way crossover setup ensures every frequency range is delivered with clarity, balance, and depth, offering listeners a rich, immersive soundscape.
Eight Electrostatic Drivers
Electrostatic drivers are known for their airy, extended high frequencies – and with eight units handling sounds above 6kHz, the FX17 delivers exceptional detail and sparkle. This design overcomes the typical low sensitivity of electrostatic drivers, ensuring their presence is not just felt but heard vividly.
Custom Knowles BA Drivers
The FX17’s four Knowles balanced armature drivers are custom-designed to handle mid and high frequencies with finesse. With added acoustic vents for enhanced energy and collaboration with Knowles to develop a ‘Midrange Enhanced Balanced Armature Unit,’ users can expect lush mids and captivating vocal performance that brings artists startlingly close.
Lithium-Magnesium Alloy DD
A newly developed dynamic driver features a lithium-magnesium alloy diaphragm – a lightweight and rigid material second only to beryllium – to provide tight bass and crystal-clear highs while keeping distortion impressively low at just 0.2%.
Pure Titanium Construction
FIIO has crafted the FX17 shells from high-density titanium, milled from a single block and hand-polished to perfection. Treated with vapour deposition, the final result is a sleek, shimmering finish that blends minimalist elegance with extreme durability.
Premium Cable, Ultimate Versatility
The FX17 includes a premium cable made from gold, silver, and copper – forged and refined into crystalline monocrystals for optimal signal transmission.
For connectivity, users receive three interchangeable plugs: 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced, and a Type-C plug with built-in DSP that supports high-resolution 32-bit/384kHz decoding and 8-band PEQ customisation via the FIIO Control app or web.
