Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has announced that its Circle to Search feature, developed in partnership with Google, is now available for select Galaxy A series devices.
This move is part of Samsung’s ongoing efforts to make advanced mobile AI accessible to more users within the Galaxy ecosystem. The feature will also be rolled out to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+, where the large displays and Galaxy S Pen will enhance the user experience.
Originally launched on the Galaxy S24 series, Circle to Search has quickly gained popularity for its innovative approach to searching, which goes beyond traditional methods.
The feature has since been expanded to other Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Z Fold6, and has evolved to include functionalities like full-page translation, homework help, and QR and barcode scanning.
With its introduction to the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series, more users can now enjoy the ability to ask complex questions about the content they see.
TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasized that these updates highlight Samsung’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology to a wider audience. “We are dedicated to bringing best-in-class AI technology to a broader audience, empowering users to work more efficiently, create more freely, and enjoy richer, more personalized interactions with their devices,” he said.
Circle to Search allows users to search for anything using a simple gesture, without needing to switch apps. By circling, highlighting, or tapping on any text, image, or video on the screen, users can initiate a search. This feature, a result of close collaboration with Google, offers AI-powered results that provide rich information and context, making searching more intuitive and engaging.
