The Dyson Airstrait straightener has revolutionised my morning routine. As someone who needs to be well-groomed for work, the ability to style my hair quickly and efficiently is essential, and this device meets those needs perfectly.
The Dyson Airstrait, in Prussian Blue/Rich Copper, adds elegance to my styling tools. Its sleek design is both attractive and practical, featuring an LCD screen that displays airflow and temperature settings.
A key feature is its wet-to-dry straightening capability. Before the Airstrait, I spent a lot of time drying my hair before straightening it. Now, I can step out of the shower, towel dry my hair to remove excess moisture, and start straightening almost immediately. This saves time and makes achieving a sleek, smooth look much easier. I use the “Wet” Mode in the morning to dry and straighten my hair.
The Airstrait offers three temperature settings (80°C, 110°C, and 140°C). I typically set it to 110°C but adjust it based on humidity or my hair’s needs. The LCD screen helps me quickly check my settings.
After straightening, I use cold air to lock in shine and straightness. The Airstrait’s intuitive airflow technology adjusts automatically when it detects hair, making the process quieter and more energy-efficient. The auto-pause feature is a great safety addition; I can leave the straightener without worrying if I need to answer the phone or door.
Dyson’s Hyperdymium motor powers an impressive airflow system that handles 11.9 litres per second, ensuring efficient drying and straightening while minimising heat damage and preserving hair’s natural shine.
The Airstrait also includes several safety features, such as an auto-pause function that stops operation after three seconds of inactivity, preventing unintended heat buildup. The PRCD (Portable Residual Current Device) plug enhances safety by monitoring electrical current, which is crucial when used near water.
