Ulysse Nardin continues to astonish with its cutting-edge advancements and audacious designs as it unveils the Blast Free Wheel Marquetry, showcasing silicon in a light that merges technical prowess with artistic elegance.
The Watch Close-Up
This piece pays homage to the iconic Freak movement, which first incorporated silicon in 2001. The UN-176 Manufacture calibre displays its intricate components, including its wheels, tourbillon with the Ulysse Anchor Constant Escapement, barrel, and a 7-day power reserve indicator, all of which seem to levitate above a masterfully crafted mosaic without any discernible anchor.
Craftsmanship in Focus
The timepiece achieves another milestone in craftsmanship. Encased in a 45mm white gold Blast structure, the design is accentuated with angular facets created through a sophisticated laser technique. This case, known for its avant-garde appearance and ergonomic features, is a testament to the pioneering expertise of the independent Manufacturer. Complementing the marquetry pattern, its geometric contours encompass an ultra-clear glass box that provides a panoramic view of the enigmatic internal movement, visible even from the lateral perspectives.
Ulysse Nardin Blast Free Wheel Marquetry retails for SGD 192,900 including tax.
