Samsung Electronics has introduced the 2023 editions of its Smart Monitor M7 and M8 series in Singapore. These updated Smart Monitors were initially unveiled at CES 2023 and serve as the annual refresh for Samsung’s ongoing Smart Monitor lineup. While the entry-level M5 series was launched earlier this year, details about the M7 and M8 series were only recently revealed.
Samsung’s Smart Monitors are all-in-one TV displays that incorporate PC-like productivity tools. They offer the convenience of streaming online content like a traditional smart TV, while also enabling users to utilize built-in productivity apps with a mouse and keyboard, including Microsoft 365 and a built-in browser.
The Smart Monitor M8 series boasts impressive features such as 4K resolution, HDR10+ support, 400-nit brightness, and compatibility with 90° pivoting and VESA mounting. It also includes the Samsung SmartThings Hub and supports TV streaming apps through Samsung Smart Hub. Additionally, each M8 Smart Monitor comes with a built-in camera for video calls and online meetings.
On the other hand, the M7 series offers similar software capabilities and 99% sRGB colour gamut support but has slightly reduced features compared to the M8 series. This includes HDR support limited to HDR10, a maximum brightness of 300 nits, and the absence of an included camera. However, the M7 series still offers 4K resolution.
Both the M7 and M8 series are available in 27- and 32-inch variants.
Samsung’s Smart Monitor M7 and M8 series can be purchased through the Samsung Online Store, as well as the official Lazada and Shopee platforms. Until July 31, 2023, customers who purchase any M7 or M8 model in the Warm White colour variant will receive a free Samsung USB Flash Drive Type-C (256GB) valued at S$59.90, subject to terms and conditions.
