As a student, a handy and light laptop that I can bring around is of utmost importance. Every day as we travel from faculty to faculty with our books and laptops, the weight that we carry on our shoulders can take a toll on us. Thus, the most valuable aspect of a laptop to me is that it must be lightweight. When Fujitsu first introduced its ultra-light 778g Fujitsu UH-X laptop, I knew I had to test it out. I was very privileged to be one of the first few in Singapore to unbox and test the Fujitsu UH-X laptop, which you can watch here:
As I am in the midst of the summer holidays, I couldn’t bring the Fujitsu UH-X to school to test out its usefulness. However, I am currently taking some online courses so I will be using this experience in my article instead.
Lightweight is the Best Weight
I used to think that the technical specifications of the laptop is much more important than its weight. After a year of carrying a 1.2kg laptop around, I realised that boy, I was so wrong. Weight is one of the most important, if not THE most important factor that I look for in a laptop now. Even a 1.2kg laptop can feel super heavy after a tiring day in school, so this 778g laptop will really ease my burden. I can even hold it with 2 fingers as you can see in the picture I cautiously took below!
This laptop is so light that it’s lighter than the books I bring to school. I also love its sleek black design! Here I am at my favourite study location – my friend’s tuition centre. The centre is always bustling with students and I love the conducive environment. Watching lecture videos on the Fujitsu UH-X, I find that it is very clear and there is no lag. The screen size of 13.3” is more than large enough for me. I can easily fit it in my backpack as it has such a slender design, making it super portable.
I also bring this laptop around to write articles. With such a lightweight laptop, it is so easy to travel while I do my work. As the circuit breaker measures are easing up, more group project meetings are being held outside at cafes or study areas. I can also bring the laptop out while I hang out with my friends and then study after. Furthermore, I can even relax with it by watching my favourite Netflix shows. It makes me feel that bringing my laptop out is not a burden, and I become more productive as I can now work on the go!
With the opportunity to test out this Fujitsu UH-X 778g laptop, I don’t think that I can go back to using my heavy laptop comfortably anymore. The next time I upgrade my computer or someone asks me for a recommendation, I will definitely say it’s the Fujitsu UH-X!
