Huawei is back in the news, but it is all positive. <\/span><\/p>\n

The latest report from the Tokyo G20 meeting is that the U.S. President has relaxed part of his ban on American companies<\/a> providing commercial goods and services to Huawei. The announcement was not unexpected as American businesses such as Alphabet (Google), Qualcomm, Broadcom, Intel, Nvidia, Seagate, Microsoft and Oracle stood to lose up to US$11 Billion in business.<\/a><\/p>\n

This means that Huawei can continue to purchase components from its American hardware suppliers and access the latest security updates and software from Google. Huawei in fact recently announced that they were working with Google for the upcoming Android Q update.<\/p>\n

Just before the G20 announcement, two major consumer electronic retail chains in Singapore also launched a \u2018money back\u2019 warranty assurance scheme for Huawei smartphones.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over in the UK, Huawei has launched a \u2018Huawei Answers\u2019 microsite to address a host of consumer questions, including if their devices can be upgradeable to Android Q!<\/span><\/p>\n

And contrary to what you\u2019d expect, Huawei has already shipped more smartphones this year than 2018.\u00a0<\/span>The Huawei P30 Pro also won the \u2018Best Smartphone\u2019 category of the European Hardware Awards 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the most common questions we\u2019ve been asked recently is on Google\u2019s support of Huawei\u2019s P30 series, which we did point out in a <\/span>previous article is confirmed for the life of the device<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

This means that both retailers are so positive that nothing will happen to your Huawei smartphone regarding Google Mobile services and other popular apps that in the unlikely event that these apps are pulled from Huawei phones, you\u2019ll get a full refund of your purchase on return of your device!<\/span><\/p>\n

Huawei\u2019s UK operations recently launched a microsite called <\/span>Huawei Answers <\/span><\/a>to answer the questions and concerns of consumers, and its proven to be a very good site. For example, it does discuss which Huawei devices will be able to receive the next major update to the Android operating system, Android Q.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n
