Panasonic Corporation and Chiba Institute of Technology have jointly developed the concept model of a next-generation robot vacuum cleaner.<\/p>\n

It is an advanced high-performance intelligent home appliance working with the latest artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous driving, and robotics technologies.<\/p>\n

This robot vacuum cleaner adopts ScanSLAM, which is an advanced spatial awareness technology. Equipped with a 360-degree laser sensing system, this robot vacuum cleaner recognises the shape of a room as well as moving persons.<\/p>\n

With an AI floor sensor, the Panasonic robot vacuum cleaner recognises objects like rugs and automatically lifts its body to climb over stepped surfaces using output signals of its plural laser distance sensors.<\/p>\n

The vaccum cleaner’s AI technology allows it to always know where to return even when at locations it cannot ‘see’ the charging station \u2013 after work is complete, the robot increases running speed to resume charging quickly.<\/p>\n

After sitting securely in the charging station, the robot is automatically lifted into a vertical position for charging. This saves more space than the conventional method of charging the robot in a horizontal position.<\/p>\n

What makes this device a joy to use is the fact that AI technology allows the robot vacuum cleaner to follow a person as if it is an assistant, and carry out cleaning as directed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Veggie Life<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Panasonic<\/span> also launched the indoor vegetable farm in 2013 to contribute to the self-sufficiency level of vegetables in Singapore. Since then, the farm has seen an increase in yield and now has a total production capacity of up to 81 tonnes annually.<\/p>\n

With newly implemented processes aimed at enhancing automation, coupled with support from AVA’s Food Fund, Panasonic<\/span> expects to contribute 5 percent of local production or about 1,000 tonnes annually.<\/p>\n
