NETS<\/a> and global payment network UnionPay<\/a> have signed a partnership that will see the NETSPay app usable outside of Singapore.<\/p>\n

This change comes off the back of a recent survey that ranked the app as one of the top three most frequently used mobile wallet apps in Singapore.<\/p>\n

With the union, the app will be updated with enhancements and six new features as follows:<\/p>\n

  1. Scan and pay using e-wallet via QR code<\/li>\n
  2. Scan and pay for purchases via UnionPay QR code<\/li>\n
  3. Top-up NETSPay e-wallet with tokenized bank card<\/li>\n
  4. Send money to fellow users via mobile number<\/li>\n
  5. Receive money from fellow NETSPay users via QR code<\/li>\n
  6. Send e-Ang Bao to friends and family<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As part of the upgrade, users can also make contactless payments at 12 million UnionPay QuickPass contactless acceptance points worldwide using their NFC-enabled smartphones \u2013\u00a0no more foreign currencies needed when travelling.<\/p>\n
