Taking a smartphone overseas is a good way to see how well it holds up during a busy trip. For my visit to Hong Kong, I brought along the HONOR X9e Pro, a phone that focuses on two things I find useful when travelling: durability and long battery life.<\/p>\n

My schedule was packed with walks around the city and visits to the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and electronicAsia. Between checking directions, taking photos of products, replying to messages and getting work done, I was constantly taking my phone out of my pocket. With my hands often full and little time to spare, I was not always as careful with it as I would normally be.<\/p>\n

The HONOR X9e Pro caught my attention with its 11,000mAh battery, protection against drops of up to three metres and water resistance. During its launch, HONOR even demonstrated the phone being used as a hammer. That certainly made an impression, but I wanted to see how well it would hold up during my own trip.<\/p>\n

I decided to use the phone without a protective case throughout the trip. It was a good opportunity to see whether its rugged design could handle the demands of a busy work trip, where accidental knocks and rough handling are sometimes unavoidable.<\/p>\n

A Phone You Don’t Have to Baby Too Much<\/strong>
\nWhen travelling, you end up taking your phone out of your pocket countless times to check directions, snap photos and reply to messages. At a technology exhibition, you might also be carrying a bag, taking notes or trying to photograph a product before moving on to the next booth. With so much going on, accidentally knocking or dropping your phone is always a possibility.<\/p>\n\t\t\t
