Glash\u00fctte Original introduces a fresh interpretation of its Serenade Luna with the new \u201cSkyline Blue\u201d, a timepiece inspired by the shifting colours and reflections of a modern city skyline.<\/p>\n
At the heart of the new model is an expressive mother-of-pearl dial that transitions from silvery light blue to a deep smoky blue. Depending on the angle from which it is viewed, the dial takes on different shades, recalling light moving across the glass fa\u00e7ade of a skyscraper and clouds passing overhead.<\/p>\n
A Dial That Changes With the Light<\/strong> Several layers of dark blue lacquer are applied to the reverse of the material, allowing the natural structure of the mother-of-pearl to interact with the colour beneath. The result is a constantly changing surface that can appear bright and silvery one moment and considerably darker the next.<\/p>\n The effect gives each glance at the watch a slightly different character, while reinforcing the \u201cSkyline Blue\u201d name with a visual connection to reflections across glass, sky and clouds.<\/p>\n Adding a touch of glamour is a bezel set with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds, complemented by diamond hour markers set in white gold.
