Grand Seiko has partnered with Watches of Switzerland to unveil the SBGA525 “Sea of Clouds in Gold”, an exclusive Spring Drive timepiece inspired by one of nature’s most breathtaking moments\u2014the golden sunrise emerging above a sea of clouds. Limited to just 30 individually numbered pieces, the special edition will be available exclusively at the Grand Seiko Salon \u2013 Watches of Switzerland Jewel Changi in Singapore.<\/p>\n

The latest creation continues Grand Seiko’s long-standing philosophy of “The Nature of Time,” drawing inspiration from fleeting natural scenes that mark the passage of time. The SBGA525 recreates the magical transition between darkness and daylight, where warm golden sunlight breaks across a sea of clouds while cool blue shadows slowly fade into the morning sky.<\/p>\n
A Dial Inspired by Sunrise Above the Clouds<\/strong> Adding contrast are Grand Seiko’s signature blue accents. The tempered blue seconds hand glides effortlessly across the dial thanks to the Spring Drive movement, while the matching blue power reserve indicator and Grand Seiko logo echo the cooler tones hidden beneath the illuminated cloudscape.
