ASUS has unveiled the new ExpertBook Ultra, its most ambitious business laptop to date, positioning the device as a flagship AI-powered notebook designed for executives, enterprise users and professionals who demand both performance and mobility.
\nAnnounced at the Next Enterprise Summit 2026 in front of more than 1,000 industry leaders and partners, the ExpertBook Ultra represents ASUS’ latest effort to push the boundaries of what an ultra-portable business laptop can achieve. The company claims the device combines workstation-class performance, enterprise-grade security and advanced AI capabilities in a chassis weighing just 0.99kg.<\/p>\n

Built for the AI Era<\/strong>
\nAs artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into everyday workflows, business laptops are evolving beyond traditional productivity devices. Users now expect seamless AI assistance, local processing capabilities and enhanced security without sacrificing battery life or portability.<\/p>\n

The ExpertBook Ultra has been designed with this mind shift. Powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra Series processors, the laptop features a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI performance, contributing to a total platform capability of up to 180 TOPS.<\/p>\n

As a Microsoft Copilot+ PC, the notebook is built to handle AI-driven workloads locally, reducing dependence on cloud processing while improving privacy and responsiveness. Features such as real-time transcription, live translation and intelligent document search are powered by ASUS’ MyExpert AI suite, which comes without subscription fees.<\/p>\n

A Lightweight Laptop That Doesn’t Compromise<\/strong>
\nPerhaps the most striking aspect of the ExpertBook Ultra is its physical design.<\/p>\n

Despite weighing less than one kilogram, ASUS has equipped the device with a 70Wh battery rated for up to 26 hours of local video playback. The laptop is constructed from aerospace-grade AZ31B magnesium-aluminium alloy and measures just 10.9mm thick, making it one of the most portable business laptops currently available.<\/p>\n

The chassis is further enhanced by ASUS Nano Ceramic Technology, which provides a 9H hardness rating and significantly improved resistance against scratches, fingerprints and everyday wear. According to ASUS, the finish offers five times the scratch resistance of conventional industry standards.<\/p>\n

Performance Beyond Traditional Ultraportables<\/strong>
\nThin-and-light laptops have often required compromises in performance, particularly under sustained workloads. ASUS says the ExpertBook Ultra aims to change that perception.<\/p>\n

The laptop incorporates the company’s ExpertCool Pro thermal architecture, allowing it to sustain up to 50W of CPU performance during intensive tasks. ASUS claims this significantly exceeds the thermal limits typically found in competing premium business notebooks.<\/p>\n

Supporting the processor is Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics, which ASUS says delivers performance comparable to or exceeding some entry-level discrete GPUs. The system can be configured with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 9600 MT\/s and a PCIe Gen 5 SSD capable of read speeds exceeding 14,000 MB\/s.<\/p>\n

The notebook features a 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen, which ASUS describes as one of the most advanced displays ever fitted to a business laptop. The panel supports HDR peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits, a 30Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate and full DCI-P3 colour coverage.<\/p>\n

To improve visibility in bright environments, the display combines Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with Gorilla Glass Matte technology, reducing reflections while maintaining image clarity.<\/p>\n

Complementing the display is a six-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system featuring dual woofers and dedicated tweeters, delivering a richer audio experience for video conferencing, media consumption and presentations.<\/p>\n

Security Designed for Enterprise<\/strong>
\nSecurity remains a major focus for business users, and ASUS has incorporated multiple layers of protection into the ExpertBook Ultra.<\/p>\n

The device complies with the NIST SP 800-193 Firmware Resiliency Framework and includes dual self-healing BIOS technology designed to recover from firmware-level attacks. Additional protections include a discrete TPM 2.0 chip, Microsoft Pluton security architecture, biometric authentication via fingerprint and facial recognition, as well as a physical webcam privacy shield.<\/p>\n

The notebook also meets Microsoft’s Secured-core PC standards, offering enhanced protection against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.<\/p>\n

The ExpertBook Ultra has undergone MIL-STD-810H military-grade testing across multiple categories and has been subjected to 157 ASUS in-house durability tests.
