Sony has strengthened its \u201cCinema is Coming Home\u201d vision with the launch of the new BRAVIA 9 II, BRAVIA 7 II and BRAVIA Theatre Trio, bringing professional-grade picture and sound technologies from the cinema into the living room.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the new lineup is Sony\u2019s latest True RGB display technology, powered by the company\u2019s proprietary RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro. The technology precisely controls independently driven red, green and blue LEDs, enabling what Sony describes as the largest colour volume ever achieved in the company\u2019s home television history. The result is more accurate colour reproduction, wider viewing angles and improved brightness performance even in brightly lit environments.<\/p>\n

According to Melvin Pang, President of Singapore Marketing Centre at Sony Electronics (Singapore), the new True RGB technology represents a significant breakthrough in LED display development. Building upon more than two decades of LED innovation, including Sony\u2019s early RGB LED technologies and the flagship Backlight Master Drive system introduced in 2016, the new technology combines the precision of individually controlled RGB LEDs with the strengths traditionally associated with both Mini LED and OLED displays.<\/p>\n

BRAVIA True RGB Delivers More Realistic Colours<\/strong>
\nThe new BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II televisions are designed to reproduce colours with greater fidelity while maintaining brightness and contrast across a wider range of viewing conditions.<\/p>\n

By independently controlling red, green and blue light sources, Sony is able to generate purer colours while reducing colour contamination often seen in conventional LED televisions. The technology also helps preserve the visual intent of filmmakers and content creators, aligning with Sony\u2019s long-standing philosophy of delivering content as closely as possible to the creator\u2019s original vision.<\/p>\n

BRAVIA Theatre Trio Completes the Home Cinema Experience<\/strong>
\nComplementing the new television lineup is the BRAVIA Theatre Trio, a next-generation home audio system designed specifically to pair with Sony\u2019s large-screen BRAVIA televisions.<\/p>\n

Sony says the Theatre Trio has been engineered to deliver immersive cinematic sound while integrating seamlessly into modern living spaces. Together with the new BRAVIA TVs, the system aims to create a complete home cinema solution that reproduces both the visual and audio elements intended by filmmakers.<\/p>\n

The BRAVIA Theatre Trio will retail at S$3,499 and will be available from June 2026. During the launch period, Sony will offer the system at a promotional price of S$3,049, bundled with a complimentary SA-SW5 worth S$1,019.<\/p>\n

Sustainability and Accessibility Remain Key Priorities<\/strong>
\nSony has also incorporated sustainability initiatives across the new BRAVIA lineup. The televisions utilise recycled materials throughout their construction, including the company\u2019s proprietary SORPLAS.<\/p>\n

Notably, the BRAVIA 9 II becomes Sony\u2019s first television to incorporate renewable plastic derived from used cooking oil and other renewable feedstocks. The material is used in major components such as the rear cover and selected internal optical components, areas that have traditionally been challenging to manufacture using recycled materials.<\/p>\n

The company also highlighted improved energy efficiency through the RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro system, helping reduce power consumption without compromising picture performance.<\/p>\n

Accessibility improvements are also included through a redesigned remote control featuring tactile enhancements and narration-friendly design elements to make navigation easier for a wider range of users.<\/p>\n

Availability and Pricing<\/strong>
\nThe flagship BRAVIA 9 II lineup will be available from July 2026 onwards, with pricing starting at S$7,099 for the 65-inch model and extending to S$32,999 for the massive 115-inch version launching in September.<\/p>\n

The BRAVIA 7 II series starts at S$3,499 for the 50-inch model and reaches S$13,999 for the 98-inch version.
\nSony will also launch the more accessible BRAVIA 3 II series, with pricing beginning at S$1,499 for the 43-inch model and extending to S$9,299 for the 100-inch variant.<\/p>\n

Customers purchasing selected models during the launch period can also enjoy promotional bundles, including complimentary home theatre systems, wireless subwoofers and De’Longhi coffee machines, depending on the model purchased.<\/p>\n
