Sony Singapore has announced the new Sony Alpha 7R VI, the latest addition to its high-resolution Alpha 7R series. Designed for professional photographers and hybrid creators, the new camera combines a 66.8-megapixel full-frame sensor with significantly faster shooting performance, advanced AI autofocus and expanded professional video features.<\/p>\n

Sony says the Alpha 7R VI delivers the highest resolution and continuous shooting performance ever seen in the Alpha series.<\/p>\n

New 66.8MP Full-Frame Sensor and Faster Processing<\/strong>
\nAt the heart of the Sony Alpha 7R VI is a newly developed 66.8 effective megapixel back-illuminated, fully stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor paired with Sony\u2019s latest BIONZ XR2 image processing engine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The camera supports up to 16 stops of dynamic range while improving noise control in mid-sensitivity shooting scenarios.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sony also claims the new processor enables approximately 5.6 times faster sensor readout compared to the previous generation.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

This allows the camera to shoot blackout-free continuous bursts at up to 30fps while performing up to 60 autofocus and auto exposure calculations per second.<\/p>\n

AI Autofocus Improves Subject Tracking<\/strong>
\nSony continues to expand its AI-powered autofocus technology with Real-time Recognition AF+.<\/p>\n

The system now uses skeletal-based human pose estimation and subject tracking to improve focus accuracy on fast-moving subjects such as athletes, wildlife and dynamic action scenes.<\/p>\n

\nSony has also upgraded Auto White Balance performance using visible light and infrared sensor data alongside deep-learning illumination estimation for more natural colour reproduction indoors and in shaded environments.<\/p>\n

Heat management has also been improved, allowing uninterrupted 8K movie recording for up to 120 minutes under supported conditions.<\/p>\n

The camera additionally features Dynamic Active Mode stabilisation for smoother handheld video shooting.<\/p>\n

New XLR-A4 Adapter Adds 32-Bit Float Audio Recording<\/strong>
\nAlongside the camera, Sony also introduced the Sony XLR-A4, designed to expand professional audio recording capabilities.<\/p>\n

The adaptor supports up to four-channel digital audio recording and introduces 32-bit float recording support on compatible cameras. Sony says this reduces the need for manual gain adjustment during production and lowers the risk of audio distortion on location.<\/p>\n

The XLR-A4 also supports XLR microphones, 3.5mm microphones and can function as a USB audio interface for PCs.<\/p>\n

Designed for Professional Workflow and Endurance<\/strong>
\nSony has also focused heavily on usability and endurance for professional creators.<\/p>\n

The Alpha 7R VI introduces a new NP-SA00 high-capacity battery rated for up to<\/strong>:<\/p>\n
